Chapter 177 Did She Really Want to Touch Him?

Isabella's heart skipped a beat. She didn't dare to make a move and watched him warily.

But she found that he just grabbed her wrist and frowned, without waking up.

Isabella carefully took the towel with her other hand and tried to wipe his face again.

As expected, before she could touch his face, he slapped her hand away!

And he still didn't open his eyes, just frowned even more, clearly impatient.

Isabella glared at him angrily.

Was it his subconscious that didn't want her to touch him? Did she really want to touch him? If it weren't for Dennis, she wouldn't care about him at all!

She was enduring humiliation to wipe his face, and he wasn't even happy about it!

If he didn't like it, then let him stay dirty!

Isabella wouldn't pamper him. If he didn't want to be wiped, she didn't want to do it anyway!

She shook off his hand and took the towel to the bathroom.

After washing the towel and hanging it up, she saw Dennis's dirty little socks in the laundry basket. She bent down to pick them up and washed them.

Before she could finish washing the socks, she suddenly heard a noise behind her! Isabella was startled and quickly turned around.

Frederick, reeking of alcohol, was leaning against the door frame, eyes closed and frowning, trying to pull off his tie.

But after a couple of attempts, he only loosened it without taking it off.

He was clearly impatient and suddenly increased his strength, directly tearing off the top two buttons of his shirt. The black buttons fell to the ground with two crisp sounds.

Before Isabella could react, he staggered in.

This was the first time Isabella had seen him so disheveled!

No matter when she had seen him before, he always looked noble and unattainable.

His suit was always clean without any wrinkles, and the top two buttons of his shirt were always tightly fastened. He always wore a tie when going out.

Even at home in casual clothes, he never looked lazy or sloppy. Today's appearance was really rare!

The tie hung loosely around his neck, the shirt was torn, and the wrinkles on his jacket were visible. Even his usually neatly groomed hair was messy today.

Although it didn't affect his handsomeness at all, it did add a bit of roguishness!

Seeing him wobble over, Isabella instinctively stepped aside.

Frederick seemed not to notice her. He stood in front of the sink, fumbling to pick up the toothbrush cup, and turned on the faucet to get water.

But he was doing it all wrong!

Up was on, down was off. The faucet was currently off, and he should have lifted it to get water, but he was pressing it down hard.

After pressing for a long time without getting any water, his displeasure became evident; his brows were tightly knit, and his expression grew dark.

Isabella thought he was going to brush his teeth and was about to kindly remind him when he suddenly scooped half a cup of water from the sink.

He lifted it and gulped it down.

Isabella was completely stunned!

That was the dirty water for washing socks! He actually drank it! He drank the water used to wash smelly socks.

Isabella almost couldn't hold back from throwing up.

"Who?" Frederick seemed to finally realize there was someone in the bathroom.

He looked at Isabella warily, his eyes dark and deep.

Isabella quickly covered her mouth in fear, very scared of being discovered by him because of his terrifying eyes.

He actually drank the water used to wash socks. That was a big secret, right? Knowing this secret is enough to be silenced for, isn't it?

Frederick was very drunk. Even though Isabella was right in front of him, he couldn't see her clearly. He stared in Isabella's direction for a while, then looked away.

He casually threw the cup into the sink and walked to the toilet.

Isabella watched him unbuckle his belt, her face turning red, completely stunned!

Dennis's little socks unconsciously fell from her hand to the ground!

Isabella temporarily ignored the socks and quickly ran out of the bathroom.

"Who?" Another muffled sound came from behind, as if Frederick had heard the noise and tried to chase her, but accidentally fell.

Dennis came out, standing at his room door, asking, "What's wrong, Mommy?"

Isabella blushed as she answered, "Your daddy is in the bathroom."

"Did he fall?" Dennis asked as he walked towards the bathroom.

Sure enough, Frederick had fallen.

He was so drunk that his body was like it had no bones, all limp.

Dennis quickly ran over to help him, uttering, "Daddy!"

Frederick touched Dennis's face, saying, "Is that you, Dennis?"

"It's me. You're drunk and you fell!"

"Did I fall? No, don't worry, Daddy can protect you!" He said as he struggled to get up, as if trying to prove to Dennis that he could still protect him.

Isabella was afraid he might accidentally knock Dennis over again, so she quickly went to support him.

Frederick pushed her away again, inquiring, "Who are you?"

Dennis quickly explained, "This is Mommy!"

Frederick's expression changed as he exclaimed, "It is impossible! I haven't found her yet!"

Dennis was about to explain when Isabella angrily said, "I'm Isabella! The one you specifically hired to take care of Dennis."

"Isabella? Oh, the idiot!"

Isabella pursed her lips, wanting to slap him to death!

Who's the idiot? You're the idiot!

"Stupid and ugly woman!" Frederick added.

Isabella tightly pursed her lips and glared at him. If Dennis weren't there, she would have already hit him!

Dennis was very embarrassed, first kicking Frederick, then looking at Isabella, uttering, "Mommy, he's drunk; don't mind him."

Before Isabella could speak, Frederick said, "Of course, I won't mind her. Why would I mind a stupid woman?! Engaging in petty disputes with her would only diminish my IQ!"

Isabella and Dennis were silent.

Before they could react, Frederick suddenly let out a long sigh, squatted down, and drunkenly looked at Dennis, asking, "Dennis, are you planning to abandon me?"

"No, I'm not."

"Do you like Isabella that much? Her son said she didn't encourage you, that you wanted to be her son. Do you like her more than you like Daddy?"

"Dennis, I can't find your mommy. She might be mad at me and really doesn't want me anymore. If you don't want me either, what should I do?" Frederick was pitiful, completely different from his usual fierce self.

When sober, he was like a bully; when drunk, he was like a child.

He squatted in front of Dennis, confiding in him as though he were a three-year-old revealing his heart to a five-year-old. His words were full of jealousy and grievance.

Dennis frowned and explained, "I do like her, and I did offer to be her son! But I never thought of abandoning you. I won't leave you. No matter what happens, I'll always be with you, always by your side."

Isabella instinctively glanced at Dennis.

She didn't know why, but hearing Dennis say this, a strange emotion suddenly arose within her, a bit stifling.
