Mother of the Moon - Chapter 112 - Little Luxuries
Lunaya.
“Can you believe this?” Alyse whispered as she sauntered over to me, wrapping her arms around my waist.
“It’s pretty impressive” I agreed. I swiped my thumb down her cheek and she smiled up at me,
“I’m going to check out the bathroom” she giggled before running over to the pale wooded door in the corner. I looked around the room and huffed. This must have cost Hina a pretty penny. It was beyond what we expected or needed, but I’m sure as hell not going to complain.
“Oh my word!” Alyse screamed from the bathroom,
“You’ve got to see this” she called out to me. I walked over and peered in through the open door. Alyse was sitting in a very large claw foot bathtub, big enough to fit the both of us comfortably. She was still completely dresses, running her hand along the edge of the bath with a look of pure happiness on her face.
“Can you believe this bath? I think I may just stay in here for the rest night” she laughed and laid her head back.
“Oh, I think we can definitely enjoy ourselves in there”
“Nope, sorry love, this is my bath and I’m not sharing”
“So greedy”
“Can you blame me? Look at it” she squealed with a little shake of her butt. I laughed and left her to it. Turning around I went and sat on the couch in front of the dimly lit fireplace. The weather was warm enough without needing the fire, but it made the room feel so much more comfortable. Just as I lifted my feet to relax, a knock sounded at the door. I stood up and walked over, opening the door to find a teenage boy with our backpacks.
“Hello, I’m Akela. I’ve brought your bags” he said handing me the first bag,
“Thank you” I said as I took them and placed them by the door. I looked over the young boy. His blonde hair accentuated his sharp young features. He couldn’t be more than maybe sixteen. His face held characteristics of the Luna, Astéri.
“Are you related to the Luna?” I asked him.
“Uh yes, I’m the youngest of six Alpha-sons and three Alpha-daughters”
“Well shit, your parents have been busy” I chuckled. He laughed awkwardly and rubbed the back of his neck.
“Yeh, it’s gross” he sneered avoiding eye contact. I could tell he didn’t want to talk about his parents mating habits, but the blush on his cheeks and his awkward demeanour made it hard to resist in teasing him a little more.
“No, it’s a beautiful thing” I provoked him with a smirk.
“Not when you have to catch them banging it out all over the forest and the pack house” he huffed with a groan. I let out a laugh from the pit of my stomach, my whole body shaking with fits of uncontrollable laughter. The poor boy.
“What’s going on here?” Alyse asked as she came over to my side. I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and buried my face in her hair to stifle my laughter.
“I was just talking with this young Alpha-son about the mating habits of his parents” I mumbled, trying to sooth my over-excited heartbeat.
“You were not” Alyse gasped.
I couldn’t respond as another bout of laughter came on after seeing how red poor Akela’s face had gotten.
“I’m so sorry, I think her exhaustion has made her delirious” Alyse yelled over my obnoxious cackling. Akela nodded his head and just about ran away from us. I closed the door and turned to see a glowering Alyse.
“You’re so mean, you know that?”
“I couldn’t help it. Did you see how red the kid got?”
Alyse’s hard face shattered as a giggled ripped from her but she quickly masked back over it and slapped my arm.
“That poor boy” she chuckled.
“Nah, he’ll be fine. After nine kids, I reckon he is pretty use to it”
“Nine kids?” Alyse gasped with her mouth hanging open.
“That’s what he said, six boys and three girls”
“Oh wow, can you imagine the noise at dinner time” she giggled with her hand on her cheek.
“Good Goddess no!” I huffed as I slumped back down on the couch by the fireplace. Alyse came to sit next to me and lifted her legs to my lap. I pulled off her boots and let them drop to the floor with a thump.
“So, my love, are you going to give that bath a workout or would you like to join me at the wood fire hot tub?” I asked as I rubbed my hands over her calf muscles.
“Mm, hot tube sounds so relaxing” she moaned with her head bent back and her eyes closed.
“Well then, we have an hour and a half until dinner, so let’s get to it”. I tapped her leg and pushed them off my lap, before standing up and holding my hands out for her. Alyse huffed and groaned but took my hands and I pulled her up on her feet. I gave her ass a smack, I then walked out the double doors to the stone patio and eventually found the hot tub.
This place just keeps getting better and better. The hot tub sat on the river's edge, surrounded by magical forest and flush greenery. Everything about this location screams ‘rustic luxury’. I crouched down and ran my hand through the water. It was steamy and deliciously inviting. I stood up and looked around the forest. Not another person in sight, Astéri did say we were the only guests at the moment. I pulled off my boots and socks and tugged my t-shirt up and over my head, discarding them on a wooden deck chair. I unbuttoned my jeans, dragged them down my thighs and then placed them with the rest of my clothes. I stood next to the tub and again let my eyes roam the surroundings. ‘Fuck it’ I thought, may as well make the most of it. I quickly slipped out of my underwear and hopped into the heated water.
I let my body melt into the scorching water, letting out a long and deliriously relaxed moan. I closed my eyes and rested my head back on the edge of the tub. The water came up to my collarbones as I let my arms glide slowly through the water.
“Oh. My. Goddess” I sighed blissfully.
“That good ay?” Alyse chuckled as she came to crouch beside my head.
“You bet your sweet ass it is” I smiled and splashed a little water up at her. She laughed and jumped back away from the splash zone. Looking down at me in the tub she winked and pulled down her pants and lifted her shirt over her head.
“Move over” she commanded, stepping into the tub. I did as she asked and slid around the bench a little further.
“Oh wow, this is so much hotter than I was expecting” she gasped, sinking into the water.
“Isn’t it lovely?” I said softly sliding back over to her side,
“It really is. And this view. I thought New Zealand was amazing, this is a whole other level of beautiful” she cooed, her eyes roaming the forest and the river. While she was watching the view, I was watching her. I have been trying to ignore the fact that I nearly lost her. Thinking about it too much will just bring me closer to insanity. If it weren’t for Elaine, our trip down that mountain would have taken a completely different narrative. I reached out my hand and gently stroked her soft cheek. She leaned into my touch and placed her hand over mine.
“What’s going on in that pretty head of yours?” she asked turning to face me.
“I was just thinking about how lucky I am to have you in my life, and how I wouldn’t survive without you”
“You were thinking about the mountain again?” she said cupping my face with both her hands.
“You know me too well” I huffed.
“I do. And I also know that you’re going to start beating yourself up the more you think about it”.
I didn’t respond, just stared longingly into her beautiful green eyes.
“Nae, it was no one’s fault. I wasn’t paying attention like I should have. But it doesn’t matter now, I’m fine and nothing happened. There is no point dwelling on what could have happened”.
She is right. As usual. Forever my voice of reason. Goddess, I love her. I pulled her into my lap and wrapped my arms around her waist. The water sloshed around with our movements but settled once we stopped moving. I buried my face into her hair and inhaled her scent. Her delicate hands ran up and down my back in a soothing motion.
“Lunaya” Alyse whispered,
“Yes, love”
“Are you naked?”
I barked out a laughed and squeezed her tighter to my body.
“You know I am”
“I can’t take you anywhere” she giggled.
We sat quietly in the hot water for what felt like hours. Alyse was laying in my arms humming to herself and I was just starting to doze off.
“Ladies” Astéri’s voiced called from the top of the walkway. I shot up and turned to see her.
“Dinner is ready when you are” she said with a smile gracing her lips.
“Thank you, Astéri, we’ll be right there” I called over to her. She headed back towards the lodge and I climbed out of the tub. The air was instantly cold against my naked skin. I wrapped my body in a fluffy towel that sat waiting for us and held up another one for Alyse. She walked into the towel and I wrapped it around her body with my arms, enveloping her in a warm hug.
