Chapter 1541 Returned

"Is there no trust between us as a married couple?" Sadie frowned. "You weren't like this before."

"Stop bringing up the past. You two were clearly on a date last night."

"No time for this nonsense," Sadie interrupted him coldly. "Do as I say!"

"You!"

"Second thing," Sadie continued, "Tell the media that we are united as a couple, with no division between us."

"Anything else?" Micah stopped arguing and waited for her to finish.

"Third thing," Sadie continued, "Explain the situation at the board meeting."

Micah waited for a while but didn't hear the rest of her sentence, so he asked, "What situation?"

"The agreement between you and me," Sadie raised an eyebrow. "You haven't forgotten, have you?"

"We have so many agreements, I don't know which one you're talking about," Micah found a convenient excuse.

"The agreement for me to temporarily manage the company," Sadie reminded him. "Remember?"

"Of course, of course I remember," Micah nodded repeatedly. "Got it. Anything else?"

"No, just do your best."

As Sadie spoke, the car had already arrived at the entrance of VIC Group's building.

A large group of reporters immediately swarmed outside, but they were quickly blocked by security arranged by Chloe.

The car was about to drive into the basement, but Sadie had it stop at the entrance, then got out with Micah.

The reporters saw Micah and were instantly in an uproar, snapping photos incessantly.

Micah frowned and walked into the building with a cold expression.

Sadie walked beside him, like a power couple dominating the business world.

However, both had their own thoughts.

Entering the elevator, Chloe saw Micah and couldn't help but get emotional. "Mr. Clemens, it's so good to see you. I thought..."

Before she could finish, Chloe's voice choked up.

As a senior executive of the group, she had been invited to the wedding, but then Half Mountain Villa caught fire, and rumors spread that Micah had died in the blaze.

She had been sad for a long time.

Seeing him now, she was extremely excited.

"I'm not dead," Micah replied coldly.

"Yes," Chloe nodded repeatedly. "Your well-being is a blessing for VIC Group and Clemens Group."

"Is everyone here?" Micah asked assertively.

"Everyone's here, except Silas," Chloe turned to look at Sadie. "The board members were asking about him earlier."

"I told him not to come," Sadie said. "Today's matters are all about the group, no need to trouble him."

"Understood."

Soon, the elevator reached the 68th floor, and a group of senior executives immediately surrounded them, especially Declan and several board members from headquarters, who had been waiting at the elevator for Micah.

Seeing Micah walk out of the elevator in good health, everyone was very excited and immediately stepped forward to greet him. "Mr. Clemens, it's so good to have you back!"

"Mr. Clemens, it's wonderful to see you again!"

"I knew that God would protect Clemens Group."

"Absolutely, absolutely."

A group of people surrounded Micah, speaking one after another, all very emotional.

"Thank you, everyone. You've all worked hard," Micah said gratefully. "Though we've faced hardships, I haven't been defeated. Rest assured!"

"That's great, that's great!"

Everyone was deeply moved, and all attention was focused on Micah, almost ignoring Sadie's presence.

At this moment, someone raised a crucial question, "Mr. Clemens, since you've returned safely, shouldn't the management of the group be handed back to you?"

"Yes, Clemens Group will thrive under your leadership."

"Exactly!"

Blimey, My Kid's the Heir to the Billionaire Boss!
