Chapter 1589 Threat
"What the hell are you doing!"
Sadie screamed in fury, but the person on the other end ignored her and hung up.
Sadie shouted into the phone a couple more times, but it was no use. The line was dead.
She was so angry she felt like snapping her phone in half.
Arya, standing nearby, was equally outraged. "That jerk! If I find out who he is, I'll kill him," she said, her voice shaking with emotion.
Sadie was on the verge of breaking down, but she forced herself to stay calm. She had to stay calm.
She quickly saved the video, kept the number that sent it, and the call information, then sent everything to Ryan, asking him to track the location.
Next, she sent the details to Jesse, asking him to analyze the video for any useful clues.
Ryan and Jesse were both furious when they saw the video, cursing the kidnappers for their cruelty, not even sparing children.
Sadie, however, tried to calm them down. "Now's not the time for that. We need to find them. We have to track them down as soon as possible."
"Sadie, just from this video, it might be hard to trace them, but I have an idea," Ryan said, quickly regaining his composure.
"We can install a tracker on your phone. If that person calls again, you keep them on the line longer, and I can trace their location. But it's risky."
"That's fine. I trust you," Sadie said, desperation in her voice. "Just install the tracker as soon as possible."
"I'll be there right away."
"Thank you."
After hanging up, Sadie switched to Jesse's call.
Jesse had already watched the video carefully. "The video is very dark, with only a light on Noah and Nathan's faces. It's hard to see anything right now, but I'll need some time to study it. Maybe I can find some clues."
"Please hurry," Sadie urged. "Every minute they have the kids, the more danger they're in. And that person only gave me a day. If I don't find them by tomorrow, I really will have to divorce Micah."
"I understand. I'll do my best," Jesse reassured her. "Ms. James, don't worry. I don't think they'll harm the kids right now. They still need your cooperation for a lot of things."
"But I'm so worried. Noah and Nathan are so young."
Sadie's voice was choked with emotion.
"I know, I know. I'll come up with something as soon as possible," Jesse said quickly. "Don't worry, I'll get them back."
"Thank you."
After hanging up, Sadie collapsed onto the couch.
She had been holding herself together, staying calm and composed while making arrangements, but now...
She couldn't hold it in any longer.
"Ms. James."
Arya looked at Sadie with concern, unsure how to comfort her.
"Please, leave me alone for a bit," Sadie said, covering her face with her hands, leaning back on the couch, feeling utterly defeated.
Arya was about to leave when there was a frantic knock on the door.
Annika burst in. "Ms. James, Dr. Rey called. We need to get Mary and Andrew back immediately."
"What? Why?" Arya asked, alarmed.
"Something's happening over there," Annika said urgently. "They're worried Andrew waking up will mess up their plans, so they're going to go after him."
"What about Rodolfo?" Arya asked, panic rising in her voice.
"Rodolfo too, but he doesn't know as much. He's not in as much danger as Andrew," Annika said, her voice filled with anxiety. "Ms. James, what do we do?"
"Annika, come with me to the hospital," Sadie said, pulling herself together. "Arya, you go get Paula and Percy."
