Chapter 1620 I'm Helping Her

Everyone was stunned.

They all thought Sadie had been knocked out, never expecting her to suddenly wake up, move so swiftly, and snatch their guns.

"Well, I guess I really underestimated you," came a cold voice with a hint of admiration.

"Finally, we meet, Mr. Graham."

Sadie turned and glared at Nicholas on the couch, her eyes burning with intense hatred.

Nicholas was younger than she had imagined. Though he was over fifty, he looked no older than forty.

Short and unremarkable in appearance, his eyes, however, gleamed with a sharp, icy light.

"Interesting!" Nicholas wasn't flustered at all. Instead, he smirked playfully. "This makes it more fun."

"I'm afraid you can't handle it," Sadie spat, glaring at him. "Now, release Noah and Nathan immediately, and I might let you live. Otherwise..."

"Otherwise, what?" Nicholas raised an eyebrow and sneered. "You think you can kill me?"

As soon as he finished speaking, seven of his men pointed their guns at Sadie. The scar-faced one even took a step forward, unafraid.

"You think I won't?" Sadie aimed directly at Nicholas and pulled the trigger.

The seven men also raised their guns at Sadie, ready to fire. If she dared to shoot, she would be killed instantly.

"Go ahead!" Nicholas taunted her. "If you harm a single hair on my head, your two sons will suffer terribly!"

Sadie gritted her teeth in fury.

"I'm not ready to deal with you yet," Nicholas said with a smug smile.

"While I'm still in a good mood, put down the gun and leave quietly. Pretend nothing happened tonight."

He spoke generously, as if granting her a favor.

Sadie didn't respond, just kept her gun trained on him.

She knew she couldn't act rashly. With so many people here, she might miss, and even if she succeeded, Noah and Nathan would be in grave danger.

So, she had no choice but to lower her gun and leave quietly.

But she was unwilling, unsatisfied!

"I'll count down from ten! If you're still here, don't blame me for what happens next!"

Nicholas blew out a smoke ring and started counting.

"Ten!"

"Nine!"

"Eight!"

"Seven!"

"Six."

When he reached six, Nicholas's phone rang. He paused, puzzled, and answered it.

The person on the other end said just one sentence, but it was enough to make Nicholas's face change dramatically.

He immediately responded, "Mr. L, I think there's been a misunderstanding."

"Don't worry, I understand the rules."

The call ended, and Nicholas gestured for everyone to step back, no longer blocking Sadie's way.

"Was that Tristan?" Sadie was surprised.

She hadn't expected Tristan to personally contact Nicholas at such a critical moment.

How did he know she was in Nicholas's hands?

Was his call just to ensure her safety?

"I only seek profit, not lives," Nicholas said, looking at Sadie.

"As long as you cooperate, your sons will be fine. But if you try to stop me from making money, all bets are off."

"Go on." Nicholas made a shooing gesture.

A bodyguard opened the door, gesturing for Sadie to leave.

Sadie picked up her phone and stormed out.

As she reached the door, she couldn't help but turn back and question Nicholas, "Why would you harm your own daughter?"

"I'm helping her," Nicholas replied righteously.

Though he didn't elaborate, Sadie understood.

He wanted Olivia to marry "Micah," securing her position as Micah's wife and ensuring she would inherit the Clemens Family's fortune.

Blimey, My Kid's the Heir to the Billionaire Boss!
