Chapter 1614 You Will Definitely Like It
At 9:50 PM, Sadie had just pulled into the parking lot of the Cloud Hotel when her phone rang.
Seeing the caller ID, she felt a pang of wistfulness. If only it were her husband Micah calling, but...
Despite her reluctance, Sadie answered the call.
"Are you here yet?"
The familiar voice on the other end wasn't the one she longed to hear.
"In the underground parking lot," Sadie replied coolly.
"The usual spot," Alan said, sounding pleased. "I'll be waiting for you in the room."
Sadie hung up without responding. The thought of facing the repulsive Alan made her stomach turn. She wondered what kind of tricks he had up his sleeve tonight.
Without Jonny's help tonight, and with the hotel being less manageable than the nightclub, she had to rely on the drugs Paula had given her.
Sadie touched the small box in her pocket, took a deep breath, and opened the car door.
Just as she stepped out, her phone vibrated again. She glanced at the caller ID, then got back into the car and answered.
"It's me." Olivia's voice was low and cautious.
"Olivia?" Sadie was surprised. She hadn't expected to hear from her.
"Sadie, I need to ask you something, and I need you to be honest with me," Olivia said quietly. "Is this Micah the real one?"
"He..."
Sadie was about to speak when the call abruptly ended. She called out a few times into the phone, but there was no response.
She tried calling back, but no one answered. She hesitated to send a text, fearing it might fall into Nicholas's hands and cause trouble for Olivia.
So, she decided not to call again. If Olivia was already suspicious of the current "Micah," she would likely find another opportunity to reach out.
Sadie deleted the call log, got out of the car, and headed inside.
"Ms. James, Mr. Clemens has been waiting for you," said one of the four bodyguards who approached her.
Sadie eyed the unfamiliar foreign bodyguards. They spoke fluent English and didn't seem to be from the Clemens Family or the Graham Family.
They were probably hired by Alan in secret, making it easier for him to act independently.
Sadie glanced at her phone and followed them without a word.
Annika's tracker showed that she and Jessica were currently hiding in the office building next to the hotel. If anything happened, they could rush over at any moment.
The presidential suite was where Sadie and Micah had first been intimate, and where he often brought her afterward. She couldn't believe Alan had chosen this place for their meeting.
Sadie frowned as she looked at the room number.
Just as the bodyguard was about to knock, Alan opened the door and eagerly pulled Sadie inside.
Sadie yanked her hand away in disgust and demanded, "What do you think you're doing?"
"What do you mean?" Alan shut the door and leaned in to kiss her.
Sadie dodged his kiss, stepping back and glaring at him. "What do you want?"
Alan grinned mischievously. "My little wildcat, still so feisty. Looks like last night wasn't enough for you!"
Sadie scowled. His words always made her feel sick.
"Alright, alright, don't be mad," Alan said soothingly. "Look what I've prepared for you."
Sadie turned to see the room filled with champagne-colored roses. On the bed, rose petals were arranged in the shape of a heart, with a delicate jewelry box in the center.
"Come take a look!" Alan pulled Sadie to the bed and handed her the jewelry box. "You're going to love it!"
