Chapter 1588 Three Tasks
"Alright, I'll talk to Tristan."
Sadie knew she shouldn't bother Tristan right now, but she had to say it to calm Ryan down.
"Awesome, with Mr. L's help, we can fix this," Ryan said, visibly relieved. "Sadie, we can't mess around with this. The other side is ambitious and already making moves. We need to act fast."
"Don't worry."
After calming Ryan down, Sadie hung up and checked the messages from Chloe.
As expected, the news about "Micah" divorcing her was everywhere.
There were also rumors that "Micah" had done a DNA test proving the kids weren't his, and he was determined to divorce Sadie, while she was clinging on desperately.
Some even said Sadie was trying every trick in the book to get a share of the assets by entangling Micah.
These reports were detailed and even included pictures of "Micah" looking cold and disgusted, showing his eagerness to get rid of her.
Sadie frowned. Nicholas was indeed cunning, planning each step meticulously, leaving no room for her to breathe.
First, he forced her out, then immediately rearranged the personnel at the Clemens Group. Now, he was pushing her to divorce Micah.
The next step would likely be arranging Micah's marriage to Olivia, securing the Clemens Group's assets.
"These people are shameless," Arya said angrily after hearing about the divorce. "We won't divorce, let's see what they can do."
If Sadie divorced, it would be from the real Micah, and she would lose any right to intervene in the Clemens Family's affairs.
"I'm afraid it's not up to me to decide whether we divorce or not," Sadie said, frowning.
"Why?"
Just as Arya was about to ask, Sadie's phone buzzed with a new message.
She opened it to find a video of Noah and Nathan being kidnapped.
The two were blindfolded, tied back-to-back in a dark room, with a spotlight on their faces, making them look especially scared and helpless.
"Noah, Nathan!"
Sadie became frantic upon seeing the video.
She tried to call the number that sent the message, but it was a special number, unreachable.
Then, someone started spraying them with water. Noah and Nathan's small bodies shivered under the water jet, crying out in terror, "Daddy, Mommy."
"Noah, Nathan."
Sadie's heart shattered, and her hands trembled as she held the phone.
"Who sent this?" Arya was panicking. "What do they want?"
Before they could speculate further, an unknown number called. Sadie quickly answered.
"Did you see the kids?"
The voice on the other end was distorted, making it impossible to identify.
"You bastard!" Sadie snarled through gritted teeth. "Come after me, leave my kids out of this!"
"Relax, we won't hurt the little ones," the voice chuckled coldly. "As long as you cooperate, they'll be home soon."
"What do you want?"
Sadie forced herself to stay calm, knowing the demands were coming.
"Simple, divorce Micah," the voice said. "Tomorrow, go get the paperwork done."
"And you'll release my kids once it's done?" Sadie knew it wouldn't be that straightforward.
"Of course not," the voice confirmed. "I have three tasks for you. The divorce is the first. Once it's done, I'll tell you the second."
"You—"
"Think it over," the voice threatened. "If you don't get the divorce tomorrow, you'll receive a 'gift' from your kids."
