Chapter 1672 The Return of the King
As soon as he shouted, the conference room went dead silent.
Micah still had that air of authority, and everyone was a bit scared of him.
Everyone frowned and looked at him, waiting for him to speak.
"Once the network's back up, the transfer will be done," Alan said smugly. "For now, let's keep the meeting going and talk about the board member changes."
"Changes? The transfer isn't even done yet. Who's the major shareholder here? If it's not, what right do you have to speak?" Ryan shot back.
"Ryan, I've already found someone to replace you. Even though you hold five percent of the shares, you have no right to speak in front of Mr. Graham. You should stay silent," Alan said, trying to shut him down.
Ryan's face turned red with anger.
The others were mad too but didn't dare to speak up. They didn't like Micah pushing Ryan around, but they had no shares and no voice.
"Ryan's got a point," Nicholas suddenly spoke up. "Since the shares have been transferred to me, I'm now the major shareholder of the Clemens Group. So, all decision-making power lies with me."
With that, he picked up a document and smiled at everyone. "I now announce the new personnel arrangements."
"We don't recognize it without a formal transfer."
Declan, after glancing at his phone, suddenly stood up and shouted, "We only recognize official procedures. If the transfer isn't properly completed, even if it's just one step short, you have no voice."
"Who do you think you are?" Alan snapped. "Sit down!"
"Alan, don't think that pretending to be Mr. Clemens will make us fear you," Declan revealed. "The real Mr. Clemens is about to return. You can wait for your prison sentence!"
The room erupted.
Everyone excitedly discussed, "What? Is he really an imposter?"
"I knew it! The real Mr. Clemens wouldn't transfer his shares to someone else. Turns out he's a fake."
"This is outrageous!"
"Call the police!"
"Yes, call the police!"
The board members were extremely agitated and completely ignored Alan, discussing among themselves.
Alan shouted a few times but couldn't quiet them down, and could only stand there anxiously.
Nicholas frowned and muttered, "Useless."
Alan's face turned red with anger, and he remained silent.
"Is the network back up?" Nicholas asked urgently.
"They're still working on it."
"Hurry up!" Nicholas was getting impatient.
"Yes, yes."
The subordinates hurried to speed up the process.
Ryan looked at his watch; it was already 3:15. The person who was supposed to come hadn't arrived yet, and he had no idea what was going on.
At that moment, Chloe rushed in and whispered in Ryan's ear, "The network is back up."
"What?" Ryan was shocked and was about to speak when Nicholas loudly announced, "Everyone, the network is back up. We will now proceed with the formal transfer procedures."
With that, he gestured for his legal team to come in.
Seeing the network restored and the formal transfer about to begin, the board members became anxious.
If the transfer really went through, it would be a big problem.
Soon, Olivia entered with The Graham Family's legal team, carrying various documents.
Nicholas raised his eyebrows, his face lighting up with joy.
Although Alan was unwilling, he had no choice but to sign the documents formally.
Everyone watched with bated breath as they signed the agreement.
Nicholas signed his name on the tablet through the legal system and then handed it to Alan.
Alan picked up the stylus and wrote "Micah."
But strangely, the system couldn't recognize the signature and indicated an error.
Alan frowned in confusion, deleted it, and tried again, but it still didn't work. He was about to try again when a commanding voice came from outside.
"Don't bother trying. I've already changed the signature pattern!"
