Chapter 1679 Where Is My Children?
"Terry, that's not what I meant," Arya quickly explained. "I just wanted to report to Ms. James."
"Ms. James is hurt. She needs to rest," Terry said firmly. "He's still waiting for me to bring the kids back."
"Okay."
Arya didn't dare say more. She quickly hung up the phone and led Terry to see Emma, Mary, and Donna.
At the hospital, Annika said "Hello" into her phone a couple of times, anxious to call back. But knowing Terry had already reached Hillside Villa, Arya wouldn't dare disobey his orders.
So, she called Micah to inform him of the situation.
"Tristan is probably trying to use the kids to lure Riley back," Micah said calmly. "They're his children. If he wants to take them back, I can't stop him."
"Yeah, but..."
Annika had overheard Micah and Rylan's conversation. She knew Tristan's plan was to get Riley to return, but if Riley came back too soon, Micah's condition wouldn't get treated.
If Sadie were awake, she would be uneasy.
"You're part of the James family. Don't let your mind wander too much."
With that, Micah hung up.
Annika held her phone, feeling a mix of emotions. She knew Micah's words were a reminder not to betray her mission and to always remember her identity.
Otherwise, she might be accused of betrayal.
She wouldn't dare betray Tristan, but she also didn't want to see Sadie upset.
At the same time, she hoped Andrew could get the treatment he needed.
Micah's words were a clear warning: if she got too involved, it could spell disaster for her.
With a deep sigh, Annika tried to steady herself.
Soon, Arya called, sounding anxious. "Terry took Emma, Mary, and Donna. I asked Noah when they'd be back, and he said once Ms. James wakes up, he'll deal with her directly. What should we do now?"
"If he took Emma, Mary, and Donna, there's nothing we can do," Annika said. "Ms. James is still unconscious. Let's wait for her to wake up. You take good care of Mia and Nathan."
"Alright," Arya sighed. "How are things with the Clemens family? Rodolfo hasn't gotten back to me all day. I'm really worried about him."
"Nicholas has been taken by the police, Alan ran off, and Rylan is handling the rest. Everything is under control."
"That's a relief," Arya said, exhaling. "Has Mr. Clemens returned?"
"Yes, he's back."
"That's great."
As Arya was talking to Annika, a shadow suddenly appeared by the window. Arya turned around, alert, but before she could say anything, a knife was pressed to her neck.
Startled, she looked at the person in front of her, who was half a head shorter than her, and blurted out, "Riley?"
Riley gestured for her to stay quiet.
"Annika, I have to go check on Mia and Nathan," Arya said into the phone.
"Okay."
After hanging up, Arya carefully tilted her head back and said respectfully, "Ma'am, please have mercy!"
Even though she had always been by Sadie's side, she knew how deeply the boss cared for Riley.
It was best not to offend the future lady of the house.
"What are you talking about?" Riley frowned. "Who are you calling ma'am?"
"You belong to the boss. We wouldn't dare disrespect you," Arya said, trying to please her. "If you have any orders, just let me know."
"Where are my kids?" Riley asked, frowning. "I just searched everywhere and didn't see them. Where did they go?"
"Just about ten minutes ago, Terry took them," Arya answered cautiously. "You know Terry, right? He's the boss's right-hand man."
