Chapter 1663 The Final Moment

"I'll change and head out right away."

Before Aurora could respond, Sadie was already up. "You guys go ahead, we'll catch up."

"Yes, ma'am." Otto hurriedly left.

"Ms. James, shouldn't you rest a bit?" Aurora looked at Sadie with concern. "Are you sure you're up for this?"

"I'm fine." Sadie quickly got out of bed, dressed, and headed to the bathroom to freshen up.

Aurora followed closely behind to assist her.

The two of them soon went downstairs, got into the car, and followed Rylan's convoy.

On the way, Sadie called Rylan and learned that he had found the lead himself. He had already passed the information to Terry, who was verifying it, while also sending his team ahead.

Sadie thought this was a good plan. If the lead turned out to be false, Terry could continue the investigation. Splitting up would ensure nothing was missed.

After all, she needed to get back to Newark.

Aurora, worried about Sadie, urged her to get some sleep in the car.

But Sadie couldn't sleep. It was already 8:30 in the morning, and if she was right, Alan and Olivia were probably on their way to register their marriage.

The board members were also returning to Newark for the afternoon meeting.

She wondered how things were going with Ryan and Silas.

Since last night, she had been so focused on finding Noah that she had almost forgotten about this major issue. She quickly called Ryan to ask about the shares.

Ryan sounded dejected. "Nicholas has already bought eight percent of the shares, and that bastard Alan transferred his entire twenty percent to Nicholas. Now Nicholas owns twenty-eight percent, making him the largest shareholder of the Clemens Group.

This will likely be announced at the board meeting this afternoon. Sadie, we might be losing this battle."

"No, we haven't lost yet." Sadie refused to give up. "There's still time. If I can find Noah, I can take Andrew to the police and expose Alan's true identity. Once his identity is revealed, all the documents he signed will be invalidated."

"Yes, I hope you find Noah soon." Ryan held onto a sliver of hope. "No matter what, the child's safety comes first!"

"Got it." Sadie hung up, feeling very down. Aurora quickly told her what Annika had mentioned on the phone earlier.

Sadie was puzzled. "Annika said someone is handling the company's matters? Who?"

"I don't know, I didn't ask," Aurora replied.

"If we don't have solid evidence, taking Andrew to the police will be pointless and might alert Alan. Who told her to go?"

"I don't know," Aurora said, clueless.

Sadie was worried and immediately called Annika, but the call wouldn't go through.

However, Sadie didn't dwell on it. She knew Annika was careful and had called earlier to prevent her from worrying.

It must be Micah or someone else guiding her from the shadows.

Besides, worrying about the company wouldn't help now. Finding Noah was the only way to turn things around.

Sadie sighed, looking out the window at the rain. She silently prayed, hoping to find Noah soon.

And she hoped Micah would come back. She really needed him right now.

In the forest, Riley was startled awake by a dull thud. Groggily opening his eyes, he saw Micah still practicing sitting up.

The old wolf with a limp watched anxiously from the side, wanting to help. But Micah said, "Don't help me, I need to do this on my own!"

The old wolf seemed to understand and stood by, baring its teeth, panting heavily, and wagging its tail nervously. It made several attempts to approach but then retreated each time.

Blimey, My Kid's the Heir to the Billionaire Boss!
