Chapter 1573 Use Money to Crush Tristan

"You idiots! I was hiding perfectly, and you come here snapping pictures everywhere. If my location gets leaked, it'll be a huge problem!"

Riley knew the reporters had already left the mountain, so she relaxed, lazily lying on a deck chair, eyes closed, soaking up the sun.

She yawned and said, "This time I just scared you off. Next time, I'll set snakes on you."

A small green snake slithered off Micah and coiled around Riley's arm, slowly wrapping itself around her wrist like a translucent gemstone bracelet.

"I'm hungry. Go get me something to eat."

Riley didn't even want to lift a finger. She glanced sideways at the little green snake on her wrist and sighed, "If only you could turn into a human, you could cook for me."

After a pause, Riley glared resentfully at Micah lying on the wooden bed and said angrily, "You jerk! Not only are you dragging me down, but I also have to take care of you every day!"

"I never even took care of Tristan like this. For saving your life, half of your fortune wouldn't be too much to ask!"

Saying this, Riley threw some peanuts at Micah. "Did you hear me? You need to be grateful. Remember to repay me in the future, got it?"

Under the wooden bed, herbs were being smoked, filling the air with a strong herbal scent and surrounding Micah with smoke.

His head was covered in needles, glowing faintly in the mist.

After half a month of this ordeal, Micah looked scruffy and thin, a bit dirty and ugly.

But at this moment, hearing Riley's words, his hand moved slightly, as if he was responding.

"Looks like he heard me." Riley beamed with joy. "Half of your fortune isn't much. I can handle it. Soon I'll be rich, and I'll use that money to crush Tristan, that jerk!"

Thinking about how she could own half of Micah's fortune and use it to humiliate Tristan made Riley incredibly happy, her face lighting up with a bright smile.

Suddenly, Riley wasn't feeling lazy anymore. She got up to cook.

At that moment, smoke was rising from a black pot hanging over the campfire. She casually threw in a few large bones.

Then Riley grabbed a chipped kitchen knife, chopped two carrots, and tossed them into the pot.

She collapsed back onto the deck chair, yawning, "I'm so tired. I don't want to move. I wish someone would take care of me!"

As she spoke, she was almost falling asleep.

Meanwhile, Sadie's car had reached the border between Hillside Villa and Half Mountain Villa.

Annika asked, "Should we go check it out?"

"Don't alert her." Sadie stared at Half Mountain Villa, feeling a bit excited. "I have a hunch that if she's hiding, it would be here. After all, the most dangerous place is the safest place!"

"Why not just go find her?" Annika asked, puzzled.

"She has her reasons for not wanting to see us," Sadie said, suppressing her excitement.

"Maybe she prefers peace and doesn't like dealing with strangers. Treating Micah alone, freely, is better than negotiating with me."

"Or maybe she's still unsure if Micah's condition can be cured and doesn't want to disappoint me if it can't be. Either way, she doesn't want to see me, so I can't disturb her."

"True," Annika nodded. "Should we come back tonight to check for news?"

"Alright, let's go quickly before she notices." Sadie urged.

"Got it."

The car headed towards Hillside Villa.

Sadie felt both excited and relieved at the thought of Riley possibly treating Micah at Half Mountain Villa.

If this was true, it would be a blessing in disguise.

As long as Micah was alive, everything they had gone through would be worth it.
