Chapter 1569 Stay Calm

"Alright, I'll sleep with you both so you won't be scared."

Arya held Emma in one arm and Donna in the other, gently comforting them.

Emma's little face snuggled closer, smearing her tears and snot on Arya's shirt, but Arya didn't mind.

She even wiped Emma's nose with her hand.

"Don't cry. I'll tell you a story."

Arya started telling them a fairy tale.

She barely got through the beginning before she fell asleep herself.

Emma soon followed, drifting off to sleep.

But Donna couldn't sleep.

She lay there with her big, bright eyes open, staring at the eagle, Coco, perched on the tree branch outside the window.

She whispered, "Coco, can you help me find my mommy?"

Coco had been badly injured in the last fire and was still recovering.

Although it was getting better, its wings couldn't fly very high yet, so it mostly rested on the tree branches in the yard.

At that moment, Coco seemed to hear Donna's words.

Coco called out twice towards the room and then pecked at its own wing with its beak, as if to say it was helpless right now.

Seeing Coco's injured wing, Donna sighed and slowly fell asleep.

It looked like the plan to find her mommy would have to wait a bit longer.

She wondered when Sadie would come back. She missed her so much.

Meanwhile, at the hospital.

Sadie hadn't slept all night.

When she saw Dahlia coming out of the room, she rushed over. "How is she?"

"She's stable for now, but we need to keep an eye on her for a while," Dahlia said, looking exhausted. "The main issue is the wound on the back of her head, and the rust that got into it, which complicates things."

"Can she be cured?" Sadie asked anxiously. "Will there be any lasting effects?"

"I can't guarantee anything right now," Dahlia admitted, feeling a bit guilty. "We need to observe her for a bit longer."

Sadie's anxiety only grew.

"Ms. James, don't worry. Mary's condition is manageable," Dahlia reassured her quickly. "You should go home and rest. You've been up all night, and there are many things waiting for you at home."

"Yes, Ms. James, please go home," Annika added softly. "I've arranged for a few people to stay here with Mary. She'll be fine."

"Alright." Sadie nodded and turned to leave.

But after taking a couple of steps, she remembered something and quickly grabbed Dahlia's arm. "Dahlia, can other hospital specialists treat Mary's condition?"

"This situation isn't uncommon. Top specialists can handle it, but their skill levels and dedication vary," Dahlia said, puzzled.

"Ms. James, why are you asking? Mary is in good hands here. I'm personally overseeing her care and protection."

"I'm worried you might not have a choice soon," Sadie said, frowning.

"What?" Dahlia didn't understand and was about to ask when her phone rang.

Seeing the caller ID, she quickly answered, "Mr. Clemens?"

"But I... Yes, I understand."

After hanging up, Dahlia looked at Sadie with a complicated expression.

"Mr. Clemens wants me to go to Silas immediately and put everything here on hold. He has an important task for me."

"I knew it."

Just as Sadie finished speaking, her phone rang.

It was Rylan. "Ms. James, I just got a call from..."

He paused, then continued, "Mr. Clemens. He wants me to return immediately and not handle anything here. I..."

"Go ahead," Sadie said, having anticipated this. "If you find any clues, send them to me. I'll go find Noah and Nathan myself."

"But you're already short-handed. If we leave, what will you do?" Rylan was very worried. "Ms. James, why not tell us everything? Dahlia and I will fully support you."

"No," Sadie quickly stopped him. "We can't afford to lose our cool now. Stay calm!"
