Chapter 1586 Swallow

When it came to divorce, Alan hesitated.

Even though his main goal was revenge, he still had lingering feelings for Sadie.

Especially after becoming "Micah," he had several chances to get close to her, but each time he missed the opportunity.

The benefits that were within his grasp slipped away, making him even more restless.

Getting Sadie had become an obsession for Alan!

Sadie, however, had a strong personality and was difficult to deal with. If he just went ahead with the divorce, the chances of getting close to her would be even slimmer.

"This divorce has to happen, and it needs to happen soon," Nicholas reminded him seriously. "Only after the divorce will the Clemens Group's assets be considered personal. Otherwise, Sadie will always have a reason to interfere."

"Besides, you mentioned that L is about to make a comeback. If you wait until he rises again to divorce, he will have a reason to meddle in the Clemens Family's affairs. It will be hard to distance yourself then."

"I get all that," Alan found an excuse. "The divorce is inevitable, but Sadie's personality makes it unlikely she'll agree."

"I have ways to make her agree," Nicholas said confidently. "Don't worry, I'll arrange everything. Just follow my instructions."

"You're planning to use those two kids to threaten her, aren't you?" Alan said with disdain. "You're really despicable."

"We're on the same team," Nicholas wasn't offended; he even smiled. "In business, all's fair in war."

Alan knew there was no turning back, so he didn't say anything more and changed the subject. "Alright, drop me off up ahead. We're almost at the office."

"Okay." Nicholas extinguished his cigar and reminded him, "Follow my instructions. Today, the main task is to allocate personnel and insert our people. We'll discuss other matters later."

"I got it," Alan responded impatiently.

The car stopped up ahead, and Nicholas got out with his subordinates, switching to the car behind.

Alan watched the Graham Family's car through the window, his eyes full of contempt.

As a member of the Clemens Family, he had a certain pride and some lines he would never cross.

But Nicholas had no principles or limits, even involving children.

He feared Nicholas would do even more unscrupulous things in the future.

"Mr. Davis."

His personal assistant called out.

Alan gave him a look, and the assistant quickly corrected himself, "Mr. Clemens."

"Speak," Alan raised an eyebrow coldly.

"I feel Mr. Graham is very ambitious. You need to be careful," the assistant whispered. "If he ends up swallowing you too, that would be..."

"Do you think I don't know?" Alan frowned, feeling very uneasy. "I still don't know if that lab report was real."

"Are you talking about the poisoning?" The assistant nodded quickly. "I also feel uneasy. Last time, VIC Group's lab found toxins in your blood."

"Then you confronted Mr. Graham, and he said Ms. James and those two were deceiving you. He took you to the hospital for another test, which showed no toxins."

"Thinking back, that lab result could have been manipulated. After all, it was the Graham Family's hospital."

"Find me another hospital. I want to test my blood again," Alan ordered decisively. "Do it quietly. Don't let anyone know."

"Yes, I'll arrange it right away."

The assistant nodded quickly.

By this time, the car had arrived at the VIC Group building. A crowd of reporters surrounded the entrance.

Alan quickly composed himself, adopting Micah's imposing demeanor, and stepped out of the car.

"Mr. Clemens, Mr. Clemens!"

A group of reporters immediately swarmed around him, excitedly asking, "Is it true that you're divorcing Ms. James?"

Blimey, My Kid's the Heir to the Billionaire Boss!
