Chapter 1655 Plan Reduction

"Yeah," Sadie got it. "With all the mess going on at Clemens Group, neither Alan nor I are seen as reliable. Makes sense they wanna sell their shares and get out of the chaos."

"Exactly," Ryan sighed. "I'll try to convince them, but you gotta come up with something too."

"Do you and Silas have any shares?" Sadie suddenly remembered.

"Silas doesn't, but I have five percent," Ryan replied. "But if they snag that ten percent, we're still gonna lose."

"Got it, I'll figure something out."

"First, we need to rescue the kid. Once Noah's safe, everything else will fall into place."

"Thanks."

After hanging up, Sadie felt her anxiety creeping back. Just when she thought the company situation was stabilizing, another problem popped up.

But right now, she couldn't afford to worry about that. She had to rescue Noah first.

"It's gonna rain."

Annika glanced outside, looking a bit worried.

"Rain's gonna mess up the search," Sadie said, concerned. "I hope Noah's okay. Is he sick?"

"I just talked to Terry. He said Mr. James ordered him to rescue Noah within three days. He's got his team searching full force. We should hear something soon."

"That's great," Sadie said, feeling a bit hopeful. "Let's hope the rain clears up soon!"

After a night of heavy rain, the sky finally cleared the next morning.

Sadie had been up all night searching for Noah and was just about to catch some sleep when her phone rang. It was Chloe.

"Ms. James, that guy called for a board meeting tomorrow at 3 PM."

"What's he up to?"

Sadie was puzzled. By now, Alan should've gotten his test results and realized he was poisoned. He should be confronting Nicholas directly, not calling a board meeting.

"I don't know. I just got the news. The major board members are already prepping to come. Ryan asked me to let you know."

"Okay, got it."

After hanging up, Sadie still felt uneasy. Just as she was thinking, Dahlia called.

"Alan's been taken by Nicholas."

"That fast?" Sadie asked immediately. "Did he get nabbed right after getting the test results?"

"Probably," Dahlia said. "Nicholas didn't stop him from going to Crestonvale for the test but had people tail him. Alan got the report, flew into a rage, but before he could react, he was taken by the Graham Family's people."

"I really overestimated him."

Sadie was deeply disappointed. She had hoped Alan would confront Nicholas after realizing he was poisoned, but he was captured immediately.

It seemed this board meeting was forced by Nicholas.

"Ms. James, what should we do now?" Dahlia asked.

"Since Alan knows he's poisoned, he'll definitely turn against Nicholas. Even if he can't do much now, he'll stir up some trouble, which is good for us. Nicholas can't fully control Alan anymore, so he'll speed up his plans. Just wait and see, there'll be news by the afternoon."

Sadie predicted.

"Do we need to do anything?" Dahlia asked.

"We need to stop the board members from selling their shares to Nicholas. Meanwhile, I have to rescue Noah ASAP."

"Got it. I'll check with Ryan and Silas to see if they need any help."

"Alright, thanks."

After hanging up, Sadie checked the time. There were 38 hours left until the board meeting at 3 PM tomorrow.

The current situation was bad for Nicholas. Sadie had twenty percent of the shares, and Alan was no longer compliant. Nicholas's plans would likely be scaled back.

So, tomorrow's board meeting would be the final showdown!
