Chapter 1566 Passive

Rylan stayed behind to keep looking for clues while Sadie took Annika back to the Peace Hospital.

By now, Mary had already had surgery. She was out of immediate danger, but she still hadn't woken up.

Dahlia found out that Mary not only had injuries from the fall but also other issues with her brain. They'd need a team of specialists to figure it all out.

Hearing this, Sadie was both angry and anxious.

She blamed herself for not protecting the kids and was furious at Nicholas for not even sparing a child.

Annika and Arya were also livid, especially Arya, who grabbed a gun and was ready to go after him.

Annika quickly stopped her.

Sadie felt awful, but she had to keep the family together.

She splashed some cold water on her face, pulled herself together, and told Arya to take Emma, Donna, and Mia back home.

With so many people coming and going at the hospital, it was too risky. The kids were healthy, so it was better to take them home.

To keep the kids safe, Sadie had Arya take all the female bodyguards back to Hillside Villa.

Before they left, she reminded Arya to call her right away if she saw anything unusual at home.

Arya, holding the kids, nodded but didn't fully understand what Sadie meant.

After they left, Annika asked, "Ms. James, Alan, that imposter, should have moved the Clemens Family out of Hillside Villa by now, right?"

"Probably," Sadie replied, exhausted. "Call and check."

"Will do."

Annika called the housekeeper at Hillside Villa.

After a long conversation, she reported back to Sadie.

"Just as we thought, Alan took the Clemens Family with him, including Rebecca and the other staff. They supposedly moved to Silas's place."

"It's weird, though. Even though Half Mountain Villa isn't finished, the Clemens Family has so many other properties in Newark. Why bother Silas?"

"You don't get it," Sadie frowned. "He's trying to stay close to Silas to get his support."

Annika was speechless. "He's got some nerve."

"Despicable people don't care about that," Sadie shot her a look.

"Alright," Annika conceded, then continued, "The housekeeper said they even took the cars, leaving us with nothing. And—"

"These are minor issues, don't worry about them," Sadie interrupted. "When Arya calls, tell her not to let the Clemens Family near Hillside Villa. We need to protect our own and keep the kids safe. Everything else can wait."

"Got it," Annika nodded.

"And another thing," Sadie thought for a moment, "Contact the major media outlets."

Halfway through, she paused. "Never mind."

"What's wrong?" Annika was puzzled but quickly understood. "You're worried Nicholas will use the media to stir up trouble and incite online harassment against you?"

"He definitely will. By tomorrow morning, the news will be everywhere," Sadie said wearily. "This time, it won't just be me; the kids will be dragged into it too."

"Really?" Annika was concerned. "Silas and Ryan are on our side, right? They won't let Alan get away with this."

"At this point, they can't stop him," Sadie frowned. "Micah is the real power behind the Clemens Group. Now that Alan is using his identity, he can do whatever he wants. What can they do?"

"Then everyone should see his true colors, right?" Annika pointed out. "Mr. Clemens isn't the type to betray those close to him."

"Raising kids for nearly seven years only to find out they're not yours would make any man furious, especially someone as proud as Micah. Alan is exploiting this situation, so nothing he does is too much."

Sadie saw things clearly.

Blimey, My Kid's the Heir to the Billionaire Boss!
