Chapter 1662 There Are Clues

A loud bang echoed through the room, followed by a gush of blood.

Alan screamed in pain and fell off the couch.

Seizing the moment, Olivia scrambled to her feet and dashed for the door. But when she reached out to open it, she found it locked.

Panic surged through her. She pounded on the door, shouting, "Who's out there? Open the door!"

"The master wants you and Mr. Clemens to rest early," a maid replied respectfully before walking away.

"Open the door! Open it!" Olivia yelled frantically, but no one outside paid her any attention.

"You bitch, you dare hit me?" Alan snarled, getting up from the floor, clutching his bleeding forehead. He lunged at Olivia, grabbed her hair, and threw her onto the bed. Then he stripped off his clothes and pounced on her.

"Let me go! Let me go!" Olivia screamed in terror, fighting back with all her might, but it was futile.

Alan quickly overpowered her, taking out his rage on her body with vengeful brutality. He showed no mercy, assaulting her like a wild animal, cursing her all the while.

"Your father locked us in here on purpose so I could fuck you, do you understand? Do you?" Alan spat, channeling all his hatred for Nicholas onto Olivia, wishing he could kill her.

At first, Olivia cried and trembled, but soon she became numb, staring blankly at the ceiling, no longer resisting, lying motionless.

Yet, the numbness in her eyes slowly transformed into a seething hatred.

She hated Alan, hated her father, hated Sadie, and everyone who had hurt her.

Sadie sneezed several times, feeling a sudden, inexplicable unease.

But she had no time to dwell on it; her only focus was finding Noah as soon as possible.

Rylan and Terry had split up to search for Noah, and Sadie was with Rylan, hoping to find the child before 3 PM the next day.

However, the relentless rain that night hindered their plans.

Their progress slowed, and the search became increasingly difficult.

Time slipped away, and soon it was dawn.

Rylan's team came up empty-handed again. After searching the last warehouse, they returned, disappointed.

Sadie was utterly exhausted, having not slept for days. She nearly fainted as she got into the car.

Rylan quickly instructed Aurora and two other subordinates to escort her back to rest, knowing she needed to be ready to lead the board meeting soon.

But Sadie was determined to stay in Biston and continue searching for Noah.

Rylan reluctantly agreed and had Aurora take her back to the hotel.

Sadie took a hot shower and collapsed onto the bed, falling into a deep sleep almost immediately.

She was so worn out that she practically passed out.

Aurora, seeing her in such a state, felt a pang of sympathy. She intended to rest on the couch for a bit, but her phone suddenly vibrated. She hurried to the bathroom to answer it.

"Hello, Annika!"

"Where's Ms. James?"

"Ms. James is exhausted. She just fell asleep."

"Don't wake her. Let her rest," Annika said urgently. "When she wakes up, tell her I took Andrew to the police station. The company matters are being handled, so she doesn't need to worry. She should focus on finding Noah."

"Got it," Aurora nodded repeatedly.

"Take good care of her," Annika added before hanging up.

Aurora returned to the bedroom, phone in hand, ready to keep watch over Sadie. Just then, there was a rapid knock at the door.

Aurora rushed to open it and whispered, "What's going on?"

"We found a lead," Otto said urgently. "The person was taken to Newark, not Biston. We're heading there now. What about you?"
