Chapter 1643 Forehead

The legal team and accounting department quickly got to work on the paperwork, but it was already afternoon, and it would take at least a few days to finalize the stock split.

By law, until the stock split is completed, Micah can't make any unilateral decisions.

Including recommending Nicholas to the board!

This battle was a personal victory for Sadie.

But for the shareholders, it was like trading a wolf for a tiger.

They ended up losing even more.

Now, they were unsure whether Sadie was a friend or foe, still feeling uneasy.

"Happy now?" Alan signed the stock split agreement, shot a cold glare at Silas and Ryan, and stormed off.

"I'm outta here too. See you in three days!" Sadie politely greeted the board members, exchanged a glance with Silas and Ryan, and hurriedly followed Alan out.

Annika and Aurora quickly followed.

Before the elevator doors closed, Sadie rushed over and held them open with her hand.

"What? Here to gloat?" Alan glared at her angrily. "Don't celebrate too soon. You'll have to cough up those shares eventually."

Sadie gracefully stepped into the elevator and said meaningfully, "Whether I do or not, it won't be up to you."

"What do you mean?" Alan scoffed, not bothering to engage.

"Haven't you seen a doctor yet?" Sadie lightly traced his face with her hand, pinching his chin with a look of pity. "Haven't you noticed the faint blue line on your forehead?"

"What?" Alan instinctively touched his forehead, suddenly feeling anxious.

"Go to the hospital and check it out." Sadie sneered. "Don't let yourself be sold out and still count money for others."

"Stop trying to stir things up."

Alan pretended to be calm, showing disbelief in her words.

"Pathetic." Sadie shook her head and laughed coldly. "Just wait, next he'll force you to marry his daughter."

At that moment, the elevator doors opened, and Sadie walked out proudly.

Alan watched her back, his brow furrowed tightly. Once he got into the car, he was still uneasy, staring into the mirror and examining his forehead closely. "Is there really a blue line on my forehead?"

His two subordinates exchanged glances, not daring to speak.

"Tell me the truth, is there or isn't there?" Alan shouted angrily.

One of the subordinates turned to look and widened his eyes. "It seems like there is."

The other subordinate also looked over. "It does look like it."

"Turn on the light, quickly."

Alan panicked and immediately had his subordinates turn on the light. He leaned closer to the mirror in the passenger seat, eyes wide open, examining carefully.

Indeed, there was a faint blue line on his forehead.

He froze, recalling the blood test results from before, and how Nicholas had drugged his drink, leading him to assault Nicholas's daughter.

And then, this morning, Nicholas had forced him to bring him into the Clemens Group board.

The next step...

At that moment, his phone rang, snapping him out of his thoughts. He picked it up and saw it was Nicholas calling. Narrowing his eyes, he answered.

"Twenty percent of Clemens Group shares, quite a loss."

Nicholas's voice was filled with anger and reproach. "I warned you to make sure there was nothing left in Sadie's hands. What was that agreement about? How could you be completely unaware?"

"Nicholas, don't talk to me like I'm your grandson. If you're so capable, why didn't you figure it out?"

Alan couldn't hold back his frustration.

"Enough nonsense." Nicholas was furious. "Come over right now. We need to discuss the marriage."

"What marriage? What are you talking about?" Alan demanded.

"Of course, your marriage to Olivia." Nicholas said aggressively. "She's still a virgin, and her first time was with you. Don't you think you should take responsibility?"
