Chapter 1677 Exchange

At this moment, her heart was a whirlwind of emotions, too complex to put into words.

Surviving such an ordeal and still being able to see the one she loves—perhaps that's the greatest fortune in life.

"Sadie." Micah called her name, his voice trembling. He struggled to extend his stiff hand, opening his arms to her.

Sadie wanted to throw herself into his embrace, but as soon as she took a step, her body gave out and she collapsed.

"Sadie!"

"Ms. James!"

Dahlia hurried to tend to Sadie's wounds and then rushed her to the hospital.

Micah held Sadie's hand tightly, refusing to let go. Seeing her covered in blood, his heart ached with regret.

Regret for not coming back sooner, regret for not preparing everything in advance to protect Sadie, leaving her to bear such immense pressure and face so many hardships alone.

He swore to himself that no matter what happened in the future, he would never let go of her hand again. They would be together forever, never to be separated.

Annika and Andrew went to the hospital together, while Rylan stayed behind to handle the aftermath.

Upon investigation, it was found that Silas had been intercepted on his way to the company and had a car accident.

However, Micah had already arranged for someone to protect him secretly, so he was safe and sound now.

Ryan and the board members breathed a sigh of relief. Although the police needed time to investigate and verify the situation, the real Micah was back, rekindling their hope.

They knew that the Clemens Group wouldn't fall apart, VIC Group wouldn't go bankrupt, and things would only get better from here.

Sadie had some serious external injuries, but none were life-threatening.

However, due to long-term exhaustion and excessive blood loss, she had fainted.

Micah stayed by her bedside, holding her hand tightly, his heart filled with pain.

After treating Sadie's injuries, Dahlia reported the current situation to Micah. The company was handling the aftermath well, but Alan had fled, and Riley was missing.

Worriedly, she said, "Mr. Clemens, your illness hasn't been cured yet, and now Riley is missing. What should we do?"

"Don't worry, she'll come back to find me sooner or later," Micah said calmly.

"That's good, that's good," Dahlia sighed in relief.

"Check the company's security footage and see if Tristan has been there," Micah instructed.

"What?" Dahlia was surprised.

"When Alan fled, Riley chased after him. Given her skills, Alan shouldn't have been able to escape. Tristan must have shown up, and she had to flee herself," Micah analyzed.

"I see, I'll check right away," Dahlia quickly went to work.

At that moment, Rylan rushed in, "Mr. Clemens, everything at the company has been settled. Nicholas's people have been cleared out, and the group is back to its previous state."

"Good," Micah nodded. "How's Noah?"

"I contacted Terry. He's staying with Mr. L and said he'll bring Noah back after negotiating with Ms. James," Rylan reported.

Hearing this, Micah's brow furrowed deeply. He instructed, "Find out their address."

Rylan didn't understand why.

"Terry didn't bring the child back directly. He probably wants to use Noah to exchange for Riley," Micah said gravely.

"The James family is at a critical moment. Terry came all the way to Newark, clearly showing how much he values Riley. He's determined to take her back this time."

"He knows Riley has connections with Sadie and me. Maybe he thinks we have a better chance of finding her, so he's keeping Noah close, waiting for us to bring Riley for the exchange."
