Chapter 1562 Mary Gets Injured
Sadie had her team lying in wait nearby, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.
Then, she drove Arya and Rylan to the designated location, an abandoned auto repair shop at the foot of the western hills.
Dozens of people were hidden around the area, fully alert and on high guard.
Arya and Rylan were deeply worried, prepared to risk their lives to save the children.
On the way, Sadie reiterated the plan: she would distract the enemy, Rylan would provide cover, and Arya would focus solely on rescuing the kids, ignoring everything else.
The trio parked near the repair shop and cautiously approached on foot, moving carefully and methodically.
Strangely, they didn't encounter anyone suspicious. In fact, the entire garage was empty.
Just as they suspected an ambush, they heard the sound of children crying.
Sadie's heart skipped a beat. "It's Emma and Donna, and Mary!"
"That's Emma's cry," Arya said, recognizing the voice instantly after caring for the children for so long.
They quickly followed the sound and found Emma and Donna under a pile of abandoned cars.
"Emma, Donna!" Sadie and Arya rushed over.
Rylan raised his gun, scanning for any hidden threats.
"Aunt Sadie! Arya!" Emma and Donna cried out, terrified.
"I'm so scared! So scared!" Emma sobbed.
"Don't be afraid, I'm here," Sadie comforted them, pulling the two girls out and asking, "Where's Mary?"
"Mary's hurt, she's bleeding a lot," Emma pointed to another pile of scrap cars.
Sadie handed Emma to Arya and hurried over to find Mary.
Sure enough, Mary had a head injury, bleeding profusely, with additional cuts from rusty metal still oozing blood.
"Mary!" Sadie exclaimed, wrapping Mary in her jacket and checking her condition.
"How's Mary?" Arya asked, holding the other two children.
"She seems to have fallen and the wounds might be infected with tetanus. We need to get her to a hospital immediately," Sadie said urgently. "Let's get them to the car."
"Got it."
They quickly loaded the three children into the car.
"Emma, Donna, do you know where Noah and Nathan are?" Sadie asked anxiously.
"They were taken by the bad guys," Emma said, trembling and crying.
"They asked if we were our dad's kids. We said yes, and they threw us out of the car and took Noah and Nathan," Donna explained more clearly, though still shaken.
"We were so scared and tried to find you, but Mary fell and started bleeding a lot," Donna continued.
"Aunt Sadie, is Mary going to die?" Emma clung to Sadie, crying. "She's bleeding so much and won't talk to us. We're really scared."
"She'll be okay. I'm taking her to the hospital right now," Sadie said, her heart racing. She turned to Rylan, "Rylan, keep searching for Noah and Nathan. I'll take them to the hospital."
"Understood," Rylan nodded firmly. "Leave it to me."
"Drive fast."
"Got it."
Sadie and Arya sped away from the repair shop, accompanied by two female bodyguards.
Sadie also instructed the rest of the team to join Rylan and continue searching for Noah and Nathan.
The car raced towards Peace Hospital.
Sadie held the unconscious Mary, her heart aching. "Mary, I'm so sorry. Please be okay. I can't face your father if anything happens to you!"
