Chapter 1577 Twisted Cuisine

"Really?" Sadie's eyes lit up with excitement as she quickly asked, "You can really find your mommy? How?"

"Well," Donna pointed out the window at the eagle, Coco, "we'll need Coco's help."

"Coco?" Sadie was momentarily confused but quickly caught on. "You mean, since your mommy can communicate with animals, you're going to send Coco to find her?"

Donna nodded vigorously, her little face turning red with determination. "We'll send Coco to find Mommy and tell her that Mary is hurt. Emma and I are really scared. Mommy will definitely come to us."

"But how will Coco know where your mommy is?"

Sadie was still a bit skeptical, worried that this was just a child's fantasy.

"I have a feeling Mommy isn't far away."

Donna gazed out the window at the sky, her eyes filled with an inexplicable confidence.

"I saw a few eagles flying by today and heard a leopard's roar. I think Mommy is on the mountain. If we tie Mary's blood-stained scarf to Coco, Mommy will see it. Once she sees it, she'll know Mary is hurt."

Donna paused, counting on her fingers, and said sadly, "Mary's injury is so serious. I'm afraid the doctors outside won't be able to help her. Mommy always said there are a lot of quacks out there. When we were little and got sick, we always took Mommy's medicine."

Donna's thoughts drifted away as she continued talking to herself.

Meanwhile, Sadie was getting more and more excited. She suddenly realized that Tristan and Riley's kids were little geniuses.

Donna wasn't even three years old, yet her logical thinking was so clear, and she was even teaching Sadie what to do. It was amazing.

Sadie had been worried that going to Half Mountain Villa might alert Riley and not yield any useful information.

But now, Donna had come up with a plan to bring Riley to them. It was perfect.

"Aunt Sadie, are you listening to me?" Donna snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Sadie seriously. "Can you help me find Mommy?"

"Of course," Sadie nodded repeatedly, but then she looked a bit troubled. "But Coco is injured right now. It seems like her wing is hurt. I'll go check on her in a bit."

"If Coco can't fly, I can still..."

"Ms. James, someone is here to see you."

A maid downstairs interrupted Donna. Sadie turned and replied, "I'll be right there!"

Then she turned back to Donna. "Donna, what were you going to say?"

"Nothing," Donna didn't continue. "You go ahead. I'm going to have breakfast."

"Okay, be good!"

Sadie patted Donna's little head and hurried off.

Donna watched her leave and muttered to herself, "Mommy said not to reveal our skills unless it's crucial. But Aunt Sadie is family. Does telling her count as revealing? This is so complicated. Never mind, I'll eat first."

"Donna, come eat! This soup is really good."

Emma called out from the dining table as Donna came downstairs.

"Is it as good as Mommy's snake soup?" Donna asked casually.

The nearby maids turned pale with fright.

Snake soup? A two-year-old drinking snake soup?

"No," Emma answered honestly. "Mom's snake soup is still the best."

"Too bad they don't know how to make it. Otherwise, we could go to the forest and catch some snakes for soup."

Donna licked her lips, thinking about the delicious snake soup. "I haven't had it in so long. I really miss it."

"Yeah," Emma sighed, sounding like a little adult. "I wonder when we can have Mommy's snake soup, wolf meat, and..."

The two kids chatted away, leaving the maids around them trembling in fear.

What kind of dark, twisted cuisine was this?
