Chapter 1559 Underestimated
The more Sadie thought about it, the more anxious she became. She kept urging Arya, "Drive faster, hurry up!"
"I'm going as fast as I can, Ms. James," Arya was on the verge of tears. "This is a city road, there are lots of cars and pedestrians. If I go any faster, we'll get into an accident."
"Tell everyone at home to head to the garden villa and pick up the kids," Sadie started thinking of other solutions. "Everyone, go immediately, hurry."
"Yes, Ms. James!"
"Ms. James, do you think that person is going to target the kids?" Arya was panicking. "Silas's people should be protecting them, right? They should be able to hold out for a while, right?"
"Silas's people won't hold out for long."
Sadie picked up her phone to call Noah, but the call wouldn't go through.
She grew even more anxious. "Damn it, they must have been prepared. As soon as I signed the papers, they made their move."
"Really?" Arya tried to calm her down. "Didn't you say Mr. James' people would be protecting them in secret? They should be fine."
"They were supposed to be, but today's different. Tristan's people are probably all out looking for Micah."
Sadie was filled with regret. She hated herself for not considering this crucial issue sooner.
She had thought that by leaking information and having Alan inform that person, they would know her people were looking for Micah, and that person would send people to find Micah too, creating a race.
But now she realized that person had only sent a small team as a decoy, while the main force was likely already lying in wait at the garden villa, ready to kidnap the kids.
"This is bad!" Arya's heart sank as she sped up. "We have to risk it!"
Sadie picked up her phone to call Jesse, but it wouldn't connect. He was probably somewhere searching for Micah, with no signal.
"Ms. James, I can't reach Annika either."
The female bodyguard reported anxiously.
Sadie was furious. Nicholas had set a perfect trap, likely leading them to a place with no signal before making his move.
Everything had been calculated so precisely.
And Alan, the idiot, the worse he acted, the more she underestimated Nicholas.
That was her mistake.
Just then, Sadie's phone rang. It was Silas.
She answered immediately, "Silas."
"What's going on? Did your people take the kids?" Silas asked urgently.
"What? The kids have already been taken?" Sadie asked, agitated. "When? By whom? Didn't Ethan and Oliver keep an eye on them?"
"Both of them, along with a few subordinates, were taken in a stretch limo."
Silas's voice was low but urgent. "Believe me, whether they're Mr. Clemens' kids or not, I don't want anything to happen to them. And I trust you..."
"I know," Sadie interrupted, trying to control her emotions. "Silas, listen to me. I'll handle the kids. You stick to our plan. Don't get involved."
"Are the kids really going to be okay?"
"I'll do everything I can to save them. Besides, Tristan's kids are among them. He won't stand by and do nothing."
"Alright, alright." Silas finally breathed a little easier. "Ryan and I will handle things at the company. You take care of yourself and the kids."
"I will."
Sadie hung up and thought for a moment before calling Olivia.
It took a while for Olivia to answer, and her voice was very soft.
"Olivia, I'm telling you, if anything happens to my kids, I'll make sure the entire Graham Family pays for it!"
