Chapter 1551 Poisonous
"What are the results? Let me see!"
Micah saw Sadie's reaction and couldn't help but get anxious.
He snatched the blood test report from her hands and, upon reading it, was stunned.
"How could this be?"
He couldn't believe it. He was actually poisoned.
Why?
Where did things go wrong?
"Mr. Clemens, you've been through a lot," Declan said, looking at Micah with pity. "Don't worry, with us here, we won't let that wicked woman harm you again."
"No, this can't be."
Micah still couldn't figure out why he was poisoned.
He recalled what that person had said. Could they have bribed these doctors to tamper with the test results?
Micah looked at the doctors, then at Silas and Ryan, and dismissed that thought.
It shouldn't be possible.
These two were not to be trifled with. They monitored everything, and the doctors were all people Raymond had used before. There shouldn't be any issues.
That person couldn't have manipulated these doctors.
But if not, then how do you explain these test results?
"Sadie, you wicked woman, return Mr. Clemens' assets and shares immediately," Declan continued to shout.
"Shut up!" Sadie was already frazzled and had no patience left.
"You..."
"Shut up," Silas commanded in a low voice.
"Calm down," Ryan added.
Declan, though disgruntled, had no choice but to keep quiet.
"Can you tell what kind of poison it is from the current test results?" Sadie asked the lab doctor after calming herself.
"This test only shows whether there is poisoning. To determine the specific poison, we need further toxicology analysis," the doctor replied professionally. "Silas and Ryan have already instructed our lab team to conduct further tests, which will take some time."
"Understood," Sadie nodded. "And the DNA verification results aren't out yet, right?"
"Not yet," the doctor said. "It will take about four more hours."
"Okay, got it," Sadie said, then looked at Silas and Ryan. "I have nothing more to say until all the results are in."
"Alright," Ryan agreed without further comment.
"I hope I haven't misplaced my trust in you," Silas said, looking at Sadie with a complex expression.
Sadie said nothing, simply sitting back down and quietly sipping her coffee.
"We'll continue to oversee the tests and discuss once the results are out," Ryan said before turning to leave.
Silas and the others followed suit.
"Make sure to protect Mr. Clemens. Be careful and don't let anyone harm him," Declan instructed Rylan and the other bodyguards, glaring at Sadie before leaving.
Rylan and Dahlia also had complicated expressions but remained silent, standing guard.
The CEO's office fell silent again.
Everyone was lost in their thoughts, but the most anxious of all was Micah.
He couldn't figure out where things had gone wrong.
Was he really poisoned, or had the test results been tampered with?
If it was the latter, that would be ideal. He would have control of the situation, gain the upper hand, and use it to suppress Sadie.
But if it was the former...
The more Micah thought about it, the more uneasy he became.
He lowered his voice and angrily questioned Sadie.
"You wicked woman, did you poison me? You had those people give me injections and soak me in medicinal baths. There was poison in them, wasn't there?"
"Use your brain," Sadie frowned at him. "Why would I poison you? Do you think I want to suffer the consequences?"
