Chapter 1578 The Bigger, The Better

Sadie stepped into the yard, looking puzzled. "Who's looking for me?" she asked.

The maid leaned in and whispered, "It's Rebecca. She's been standing outside for a while, and no matter what I said, she wouldn't leave."

"Rebecca?" Sadie said, surprised. "Bring her in right away."

"Yes, ma'am."

Sadie had previously instructed that no one, not even the Clemens family, should be allowed in without her permission. That's why the maids had kept Rebecca outside.

Feeling a bit guilty, Sadie decided to go and invite her in personally.

Rebecca was standing outside the yard, holding a large package and craning her neck to look inside.

When she saw Sadie approaching, she called out excitedly, "Mrs. Clemens! Mrs. Clemens!"

"Rebecca, come on in," Sadie said, motioning for the iron gate to be opened.

Rebecca walked in, saw Sadie, and gave an embarrassed smile.

Before she could start speaking, her eyes welled up with tears. "Mrs. Clemens, no matter what people are saying, I believe in you!"

"Rebecca," Sadie said, unsure of what to say.

"Mrs. Clemens, there's something I need to ask you," Rebecca said, glancing around nervously and lowering her voice.

"Is this Mr. Clemens really our Mr. Clemens? He seems different. Is he sick or is he an imposter? How could he doubt you? And last night, he even cursed Mr. Raymond Clemens. I was shocked."

Sadie was speechless, thinking that Alan was truly out of control. He had already started to act arrogantly, even going so far as to insult Raymond in front of the servants.

But it was somewhat understandable. His mother, Nina, had been killed by Raymond himself. Alan must have harbored resentment towards Raymond.

Now, living in the villa surrounded by Raymond's portraits and belongings, he couldn't hold back his anger.

"Rebecca, why did you come here alone?" Sadie asked, changing the subject.

"I didn't come alone," Rebecca sighed. "Early this morning, Mr. Clemens sent people to Half Mountain Villa to retrieve something. I don't know what it is exactly. I thought the kids would enjoy the desserts I made, so I brought some over."

"Mrs. Clemens, I firmly believe the children are Mr. Clemens'. I don't know where these rumors are coming from, or what's wrong with Mr. Clemens, but I trust you."

"Rebecca, wait a moment," Sadie interrupted, anxiously asking, "Did you say they sent people to Half Mountain Villa to find something?"

"Yes, they said it was something important. Mr. Clemens sent people to look for it. I had the driver drop me off at the entrance."

"Arya, Arya," Sadie immediately shouted towards the house, "Get the car ready."

"Yes, Ms. James," Arya, always efficient, didn't ask questions. She quickly went to prepare the car. "Which car, Ms. James?"

"The biggest one available."

"Got it!"

Their cars had been confiscated earlier, leaving only a problematic George Patton, which Arya had fixed yesterday and parked in the backyard. It was now ready for use.

"Mrs. Clemens, what's going on?" Rebecca asked, looking confused.

"Rebecca, you should go home and stay out of this," Sadie instructed a female bodyguard. "Escort Rebecca back to Silas' place."

"Yes, Ms. James," the bodyguard immediately escorted Rebecca away.

"Wait, Mrs. Clemens, take these desserts for the kids," Rebecca said, handing the package to Sadie. "Make sure to keep them safe; they're important."

"Got it. Thank you, Rebecca," Sadie said, handing the package to another bodyguard. "Take it inside."

"Yes, Ms. James."

Worried that the Clemens family might disturb Riley at Half Mountain Villa, Sadie quickly gathered Arya and a few female bodyguards and drove the George Patton to the villa.
