Chapter 1557 Signing
The weight of those words instantly extinguished Sadie's fiery anger.
Her Achilles' heel was her children. No matter what happened with others, she could never let her children get hurt.
At that moment, Anthony and his team knocked and entered the room.
They were already aware of the current situation. Without saying a word, they placed the documents on the desk and stood silently to the side.
Although they had previously supported and trusted Sadie, the test results were now in front of them, and they had to handle things professionally.
Suddenly, everyone in the room sided with Alan. Only Arya and the two female bodyguards from the James Family stood behind Sadie, but they still seemed isolated and helpless.
After all, this was the Clemens Family's territory now.
"Sadie, if you sign the papers now, you can leave here safely. Otherwise, we really will..."
"Say one more word, and you're out."
Silas snapped, cutting Declan off mid-sentence.
"Silas, at this point, why are you still defending her?" Declan protested.
"Out." Silas tapped his cane.
A few bodyguards immediately moved to escort Declan out.
"Alright, alright, I won't say another word. I'll just watch."
Declan quickly conceded, making a zipping motion over his mouth.
Alan gave a signal, and the two bodyguards stepped aside.
"Sign the papers," Silas pointed to the documents. "Sign them, and this matter will be over. We won't pursue it further, and we won't mention the children to anyone."
"But the fire at the Clemens Villa and Mr. Clemens' disappearance will still be handed over to the police. We'll also provide them with your issues for reference."
"Is this a trade?" Sadie laughed mockingly. "These shares and assets are worth a fortune. Why should I give them up for so-called reputation?"
"You don't care about your reputation, but what about your children?" Silas countered. "Don't you care about their feelings and future? If this gets out, how will they live? They'll be pointed at wherever they go."
"Exactly," Declan chimed in.
"Even though they're not my biological children, they've called me Dad for so many years. I can't bear to see them suffer like this," Alan added. "I'm not holding you accountable for the past, just asking you to return the assets. That's already very lenient. What are you hesitating for?"
"Indeed, very lenient," Sadie said coldly, staring at him. "One day, when I expose your true face, I won't be so lenient!"
"You're crazy," Alan muttered, avoiding her gaze.
"Silas, you should remember what Micah told you before the accident, right?" Sadie pleaded with Silas. "You have to believe me. This man isn't Micah. He's Alan. He had surgery to look like Micah just to come back for revenge."
"Shut up!"
In a fit of rage, Alan suddenly slapped Sadie across the face.
The sound echoed, and everyone was stunned.
Even Alan was taken aback. He stared at his hand, a moment of panic and guilt flashing in his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure.
"You're out of line!"
Arya rushed forward to confront Alan but was stopped by the bodyguards.
Sadie turned her head, her face stinging with pain, but she remained calm, her fists clenched tightly.
Silas frowned, looking at Sadie with a complex expression but said nothing.
"Sadie, considering how many years you've been with me, I didn't hold you accountable for deceiving me. I've been more than fair to you, and yet you bite back, fabricating lies to frame me?"
Alan pointed at Sadie, shouting, "Sign the papers and leave, or I'll make sure everyone knows about all the disgusting things you've done."
