Chapter 1670 More Bad Than Good

Alan didn't say a word, but his eyes flashed coldly.

He wasn't as cocky as Micah, but he'd always been in charge since he was young, and nobody had ever dared to treat him like this.

Now, not only was he under Nicholas's thumb, but he was also being threatened by him.

Nicholas was keeping Alan around because it would take some time to fully take over the Clemens Group, so he couldn't just toss him aside yet.

Once the Clemens Group was his, Alan would probably be disposed of quickly.

Of course, if he didn't listen to Nicholas now and Sadie managed to fight back successfully, he'd be dead either way.

"Don't worry," Nicholas saw through his thoughts. "The Clemens Group is a big piece of meat; it can't be swallowed in just a few bites. Even after it's swallowed, you still have your uses. As long as you behave, you'll still be part of my family."

"That's true," Alan sneered. "The Clemens Family's influence in the business world isn't just about the company's profits. As long as I have this face, I can bring you countless benefits."

"Good that you understand," Nicholas said bluntly. "You should be grateful you still have value. I won't let you die so soon."

"Should I thank you?" Alan glared at him coldly.

"No need for thanks," Nicholas patted his shoulder. "A wise man knows when to adapt. Cooperate well!"

Alan felt humiliated but had no choice but to swallow his pride.

At that moment, the office door swung open.

Olivia walked in slowly, holding a large stack of documents. "Dad, all the documents are here."

"Good," Nicholas glanced at his watch, stood up, and adjusted his suit. "It's time. Let's go."

"Is everyone here?" Alan asked the bodyguard.

"Silas and Sadie aren't here," the bodyguard replied.

"Then..."

"They won't be coming," Nicholas interrupted Alan, smirking. "Let's just focus on the meeting."

With that, he walked out first.

Alan stood there, panic rising in his heart. If Nicholas could deal with Sadie and Silas, then he was in great danger too.

Olivia's face darkened as she lowered her eyes, deep in thought.

"Mr. Clemens, let's go."

The Graham Family's bodyguard urged Alan, his attitude extremely arrogant.

Alan glared at him coldly, shoved Olivia aside, and strode out.

Olivia stumbled onto the sofa, watching his back with a belly full of anger.

"Coward," the female bodyguard beside her muttered angrily. "He takes out his anger on you. Don't mind him. Once the boss gets what he wants, he'll deal with that guy."

Olivia didn't respond, but her eyes were filled with a bone-chilling coldness.

When everyone arrived at the conference room, they looked around and noticed Silas was missing, causing a stir. Someone asked Ryan about it.

Ryan felt dejected but still held onto a sliver of hope. "We haven't been able to reach Silas. Maybe he's stuck in traffic. Let's wait a bit."

"What about Ms. James?"

Declan, at this point, hoped Sadie would come. In contrast to Nicholas, he realized Sadie's value.

"Couldn't reach her either," Ryan sighed.

Everyone present was smart enough to understand what was happening. There was no way Nicholas would let those two attend.

Realizing that Silas and Sadie might already be in grave danger, the board members grew even more anxious. If they didn't comply with Nicholas, would they make it out of this room alive?

"It's about time. Let's start the meeting."

Olivia, now the senior secretary of the president's office, replacing Chloe, announced.

Everyone sat up straight, waiting for "Micah" to speak.

Blimey, My Kid's the Heir to the Billionaire Boss!
