Chapter 1607 Tonight at Ten

After Gabriella left, Jessica came over to ask Sadie if she wanted to replace the two nurses who were on duty last night.

Sadie shook her head. "No, let them continue their shift tonight."

She also told them to only share good news with Arya when she woke up, without going into too much detail.

Jessica and the others assumed Sadie didn't want to blame Arya for falling asleep last night and didn't think much of it.

As Annika walked Sadie back to her room, she couldn't help but ask, "Ms. James, do you think Riley will come again tonight?"

"Not just tonight. Tomorrow night, the night after, and every night until Mary recovers," Sadie replied confidently.

Sadie was now certain that Riley had been there. Mary's fever breaking and Andrew's improvement were all thanks to her.

"Do you think Riley healed Andrew, too?" Annika asked, unsure.

"She must have," Sadie said with certainty. "Gabriella had been treating him for so long without much progress, and now Andrew suddenly improves. It has to be Riley's doing."

"But why would she save Andrew?" Annika was curious. "I've heard she's not exactly the charitable type."

"Maybe she was in a good mood? Or perhaps she sees Andrew as part of the family? Who knows? She also treated Micah," Sadie said, feeling quite pleased. "The important thing is, she's willing to help."

Annika nodded repeatedly. "I hope she's in a good mood tonight and in the future, and that she continues to help Andrew."

"If you're worried, have Emma and Donna leave some candy by Andrew's bed," Sadie suggested.

"Candy?" Annika was puzzled for a moment, but then understood. "Got it, thank you, Ms. James!"

With that, Annika left happily.

Seeing Annika's cheerful demeanor, Sadie couldn't help but smile with relief.

Finally, everything seemed to be moving in a positive direction.

Noah and Nathan had found some leads, and Mary and Andrew were improving.

Moreover, Sadie had witnessed Riley's miraculous medical skills, which made her even more confident that Micah would recover, too.

Thinking about all this, Sadie felt a sense of relief.

It was late, and Sadie was utterly exhausted. She took a hot shower and fell asleep as soon as she hit the bed.

It was already morning when Sadie was woken up by a phone call, having only slept for a short while.

Groggily, she answered the phone, and a familiar voice came through, "Hey, babe!"

Sadie was stunned and instinctively responded, "Babe?"

"That's my girl!" The voice shamelessly laughed. "You're getting used to this real quick, I love it!"

"Alan!" Sadie was instantly wide awake and snapped, "Are you out of your mind?"

"I'm lovesick," Alan said flirtatiously. "I miss you!"

"You're nuts!" Sadie felt disgusted and was about to hang up.

"Don't be so heartless. Think about it, we were so passionate last night. Can you really treat me like this?" Alan continued to tease.

"Get lost!" Sadie was ready to hang up.

"Don't you want to know where your son is?"

Alan's words stopped her cold.

This was effective. Sadie didn't dare hang up and urgently asked, "You found a lead? Tell me now."

"See? When it's something beneficial to you, you change your tune immediately," Alan mocked. "My wife is so practical."

"Stop wasting time and tell me," Sadie urged anxiously.

"Let's talk in person," Alan said evasively. "Tonight at ten, Cloud Hotel."

"You—" Sadie wanted to say more, but Alan hung up the phone.
