Chapter 1652 Assigning a Task to Tristan
"Get to Crestonvale, now."
"On it."
Alan sped to Crestonvale overnight, hoping for a thorough check-up at the hospital there.
Nicholas's aide quickly brought him the news. He responded icily, "Let him go. He won't stop until he gets answers. Keep an eye on him and make sure no one messes with the results."
"Got it."
The news soon reached Sadie too.
She smirked, "Even without tampering, he's bound to find something off."
"Looks like they're about to turn on each other," Annika said excitedly. "Our top priority now is to rescue Noah. Once we get Noah out, we can confront Nicholas head-on."
"Yeah." Sadie felt a pang of worry at the mention of Noah. Despite everyone's efforts, they still couldn't find any trace of him.
Noah had been missing for over ten days now, and Sadie was growing increasingly anxious.
"You think I'm a miracle worker? You want me to save you and your son?"
In the forest, Riley snapped at Micah, "I have two hands and one body. If I go to rescue your son, what happens to you?"
"I'm not important. Save my son first."
Micah had just spoken to Dahlia on the phone and learned that Noah was still missing. His desperation led him to ask Riley for help.
"Get this straight, I'm a doctor, not a bodyguard."
Riley wiped blood off a medical prescription as he spoke, "My expertise is in healing, not in tracking down kidnappers. That's a job for bodyguards."
"Jesse and Rylan have been searching for half a month with no leads. I'm desperate here! Lives are at stake!"
Micah was frantic. "I know you're a doctor, but you're not just any doctor. You can command animals with a single word. Can't you ask them to help find some clues? I'll pay you whatever you want."
"You've already racked up so much debt that my ledger can't keep up. Do you even have enough to pay me? Stop making promises."
Riley shot him a look. "Besides, we're in the forest now, where I can summon nearby animals. You said your son was kidnapped to another city, right? How am I supposed to summon animals from that far away?"
"But..."
"Enough with the whining." Riley cut him off and focused on the prescription. "Hubert is impressive, coming up with this formula."
"Riley..."
"Enough."
Riley glanced at a photo frame on the table, showing six children close together. Donna had once told her how well Noah and the others treated them.
"I'll think of another way to help you rescue your son."
With that, Riley took out a communicator and dialed a number.
Soon, a cold voice answered.
"It's me!" Riley's voice was haughty.
"Where the hell have you been?"
Tristan's angry roar came through the phone, nearly bursting Riley's eardrums.
Micah was stunned. Was this really Tristan?
The voice sounded like him.
But Tristan was known for his icy demeanor, always calm and composed. His handsome face was perpetually expressionless, and his voice was always cold and emotionless.
Moreover, he claimed to come from a noble family, always impeccably polite and never using foul language. But now...
"Keep it civil." In contrast, Riley remained calm and collected. "I'm the mother of your child. If I'm a bitch, what does that make you?"
"You..."
Riley interrupted him, "Listen carefully. Noah's brother has been kidnapped. Send someone to rescue him."
Tristan was taken aback. "Are you giving me orders?"
