Chapter 1570 Slowly Devouring
"You had this planned all along?" Rylan felt a wave of relief wash over him as he listened to Sadie. "Alright, I get it."
"Alan's current identity is Mr. Clemens. Just stick to your duties," Sadie said with a meaningful tone. "When the time is right, I'll reach out to you."
"Got it!" Rylan replied. "If you need anything, just call us anytime."
"I know. Go ahead." Sadie hung up the phone and turned to Dahlia. "You heard everything?"
"Yeah," Dahlia nodded. "The hospital is mine. Even if I leave, they'll still treat Andrew and Mary well. I'm just worried..."
Dahlia didn't finish her sentence, but Sadie understood.
If someone from the Clemens Family said a word, the hospital staff would listen.
"That's not a guarantee," Sadie thought Alan and Nicholas had no limits. "Do you have any other hospitals you can recommend?"
"The three best hospitals in Newark are Peace Hospital, Evergreen Heights Medical Center, and one owned by the Graham Family," Dahlia said, frowning.
"I can't guarantee the doctors at other hospitals can treat Mary's condition, and Andrew's situation needs Gabriella's personal attention."
"What should we do then?" Annika asked, clearly anxious.
Dahlia thought for a moment. "Let's keep them here for now. I'll stall for a few days until Mary's post-surgery stabilization period is over."
"Even though I'm part of the Clemens Family, the hospital isn't. There are other shareholders above me, and they're all official people. The Clemens Family won't act recklessly."
"Alright," Sadie nodded. "We'll stall for a few days. Once Mary's stable, we'll bring her home to recover. Paula and Percy are still there."
"That works," Dahlia agreed, nodding repeatedly. "You can trust us with them. I don't think they'll act openly for now, especially since Mary is Mr. James's child."
"True," Sadie sighed. "But we still need to have a few people here to keep an eye on things."
She patted Dahlia's shoulder. "Alright, I'll handle it. You go ahead and get busy."
"Okay," Dahlia removed her mask and gloves. "Ms. James, as Rylan said, we trust you completely. Call on us whenever you need."
"Thank you!" Sadie felt deeply grateful. "Go on."
Dahlia hurried off.
Watching Dahlia leave, Annika couldn't help but ask, "Ms. James, I'm really worried. They wouldn't dare touch Mary, but Andrew is part of the Clemens Family. If that imposter wants to get rid of Andrew, it would be easy."
"We'll bring Andrew to Hillside Villa too," Sadie decided firmly. "Andrew is in a coma right now. He doesn't pose any threat to them. They have more important things to deal with at the moment. Besides, Rylan and Annika are there."
"True," Annika felt a bit relieved. "I just saw some of Rylan's men guarding Andrew. They're his most trusted subordinates."
"Yes," Sadie nodded. "But we still need to leave some people at the hospital, just in case. Jesse left two people. We need to add a few more. You handle that."
"Got it."
After making the arrangements, Annika and Sadie set off for Hillside Villa.
On the way, Annika calculated their manpower, worried.
"With Rylan and Dahlia unable to help, we have eighteen people. Four are at the hospital, four are with Jesse looking for Mr. Clemens.
That leaves eight with Arya at home. If anything else happens, we won't have enough people."
"That's Nicholas's plan. He had Alan pull Rylan and Dahlia away, forbidding them from helping me. He wants to catch me off guard, leaving me defenseless. That way, he can slowly take over the Clemens Family's assets."
Sadie gritted her teeth in anger.
