Chapter 1627 Counterattack
Rodolfo's words left Arya with no choice but to support him.
"Hey Rodolfo, why don't you come with me later?" Dahlia was packing her things. "I need to go to the hospital to get some meds, and I'm worried those thugs might try to stop me. With you there, it'll be much easier."
"Sure thing, I'll drive," Rodolfo said confidently. "They won't be able to catch us."
"Awesome." Dahlia was thrilled, feeling that the long-declining Clemens Family was finally on the rise again.
"Thanks, you two."
Sadie personally saw Dahlia and Rodolfo out, intending to call for some help, but the Clemens Family's car was already waiting outside, sent by Rylan to pick up Dahlia.
After saying goodbye to Sadie, Dahlia and Rodolfo quickly left.
Sadie watched the car drive away, lost in thought.
Just then, Annika hurried down and handed her a tablet. "Ms. James, you need to see this news."
"What?" Sadie took the tablet and was stunned. There was a sudden surge of online rumors claiming that the current "Micah" was an imposter.
The posts included photos and detailed information about Alan undergoing plastic surgery in Country D, at a hospital owned by The Graham Family.
They also claimed that Alan and Nicholas were in cahoots, plotting to seize the Clemens Group's assets.
The evidence was compelling and spreading rapidly, creating a massive public outcry.
Although the rumors were mainly being spread by independent media and ordinary netizens, they had already caused a significant stir.
"Someone's helping us," Annika said excitedly. "Could it be Mr. James?"
"It must be him," Sadie said, overjoyed. "I knew it. How else could Rylan have suddenly found a way to break free, rescue those eighteen people, and have Dahlia completely sever ties with Alan? Tristan must be guiding them."
"That's fantastic," Annika said with a smile. "Things are finally looking up."
"But these rumors will take time to ferment. The Graham Family and Alan still have opportunities to exploit," Sadie cautioned. "We need to rescue Noah as soon as possible, or we'll remain at a disadvantage."
"Rylan is already helping. He'll definitely rescue Noah," Annika reassured her. "You should rest and conserve your energy."
"I'll stay with Nathan," Sadie said, looking at the sleeping boy on the hospital bed, feeling deeply guilty. "Look at him, even in his sleep, he's frowning. He must be so scared."
"It sounds like he's talking in his sleep," Annika noticed Nathan's little mouth moving.
Sadie quickly leaned in to listen and heard Nathan calling, "Daddy, Daddy."
Meanwhile, deep in the forest, Micah suddenly woke up in a cold sweat, his eyes filled with fear.
He had dreamt of Noah and Nathan desperately running away, being chased by bad guys, with wolves and tigers attacking from both sides. In the chaos, Nathan fell off a cliff.
"Had a nightmare?" Riley asked, lounging in a bamboo chair, munching on a pork knuckle, her mouth greasy but clearly enjoying it. Occasionally, she licked her fingers.
Micah didn't respond, struggling to lift his head to look at the computer in front of him. "Please, keep working on the computer."
"Take a break," Riley said impatiently. "I've been helping you for hours. I need a breather."
"The situation is dire. Our family assets are at risk, and my son hasn't been rescued. There's no time for a break," Micah said urgently. "Hurry up."
"Don't yell at me," Riley snapped. "If you're so capable, do it yourself."
Micah was furious. If he could lift his hands, he wouldn't have to beg her like this.
