Chapter 1601 Woke Up

As Donna spoke, tears streamed down her face, and she sobbed, "But I can't get out. There are hardly any kids or animals here. I don't know if I can find my mom."

Donna glanced at the eagle, Coco, in the yard. "Coco, can you ask your friends to help me find my mom?"

Coco seemed to understand and nodded repeatedly, then let out a series of eagle cries into the sky.

After a while, several eagles flew across the sky, seemingly responding to Coco's call. They soared and circled in the air before splitting up to search the forest.

In the yard, the two female bodyguards on duty started to gossip again. "Weird, first it was little birds, now it's eagles. What's going on today?"

"It seemed like Coco was calling earlier."

"Maybe it's really going to rain."

Meanwhile, in the forest.

Riley, hidden in a small wooden cabin, was making mushroom soup. Hearing the commotion outside, she immediately ran out to check.

The birds in the forest seemed to be having a meeting, chattering non-stop, while eagles circled above, occasionally sending signals.

Riley's face changed dramatically when she heard the sounds. She exclaimed excitedly, "Something's happened to my baby!!"

She rushed back into the cabin, frantically searching for her car keys, and didn't forget to kick the wooden bed where Micah lay, cursing angrily.

"You bastard, it's all your fault I couldn't go find my baby! Now they're in trouble."

Micah's fingers twitched slightly on the bed, but there was no further response.

"I'm telling you, I'm going to find Donna now. You're on your own."

Riley shot him a cold glare, put on her jacket, grabbed the car keys, and stormed out.

But as she reached the door, she hesitated, feeling a pang of guilt. She turned back and instructed an old, lame wolf crouched in the corner, "Watch him. I'll be back soon."

The wolf nodded and moved to sit beside Micah.

Riley left the cabin, pulling aside a vine curtain, revealing two old vans parked steadily there.

She quickly jumped into one of the vans, and didn't forget to instruct the bald eagle on the roof and the python coiled in the trees, "Don't let anyone near!"

The eagle nodded, and the python flicked its tongue in acknowledgment.

Riley drove off, kicking up a flurry of fallen leaves.

Despite its age, the van sped through the dense forest.

As the sound of the van faded, the lame wolf extended its tongue and licked Micah's cheek, its eyes glowing green.

It had been craving this piece of meat for a long time.

It wondered when Riley would finally discard him and reward it with a feast. Then, it could have a full meal.

As it thought about this, drool dripped from the wolf's mouth, landing on Micah's forehead.

At that moment, Micah's fingers twitched again, and his eyelashes fluttered lightly.

After a long while, his dry lips parted slightly, and a hoarse voice slowly uttered a few words, "If you dare eat me, she won't forgive you."

The wolf seemed to understand, retreating half a step in fear, wagging its tail to show submission.

Then, it limped over to fetch a bowl of water, placing it beside Micah.

Micah slowly opened his eyes, seeing the old yet warm cabin. He struggled to move closer and drink the water.

There were two leaves floating in the water, and the rim of the bowl had the taste of wolf saliva.

In the past, Micah would have been disgusted, but now, his strong will to survive left him no choice.

He drank the water like a wild animal, roughly gulping it down, and finally regained some strength.

He lay there, staring at the slightly smoky ceiling, beginning to gather his thoughts.
