Chapter 1659 Micah's Arrangement
Riley found three large burlap sacks and carefully checked them for any holes to make sure no money would fall out later.
She then rolled up the sacks and tossed them in the van.
Clapping her hands, she looked at the van with a satisfied grin.
"When I get the money, I'll take my kids and vanish."
Riley glanced back at the cabin, a sly glint in her lively eyes.
As long as she didn't completely cure Micah, leaving him with a few lingering issues, he would always be under her control.
If Tristan came after her, Micah would have to protect her.
'I'm so clever!'
The thought made Riley's smile even wider.
Inside the cabin, Micah squinted through the window, watching Riley with a cold gaze. Her sinister smile meant she was definitely plotting something.
He wondered how Sadie was doing and if she had found Noah yet.
Just then, Micah's phone vibrated. It was a call from Dahlia. He reached out with his stiff hand, picked up the phone, and answered.
"Mr. Clemens."
Dahlia gave a detailed report on the current situation and added, "Alan is now using your name to announce his marriage to Olivia. They plan to register the marriage first thing tomorrow morning.
Also, more than half of the board members have sold their shares to Nicholas. Anthony just reported that Nicholas now holds seven percent of the shares.
But I don't understand, even with seven percent, that doesn't mean much. Alan's shares aren't his."
"If Alan transfers all his shares to Nicholas today, Nicholas will own twenty-seven percent and become the largest shareholder of the Clemens Group."
Micah had already figured it all out.
"No way," Dahlia was shocked. "Ms. James presented the contract she signed with you, and the entire accounting team is auditing it with the notary public. It will take two or three days to transfer the shares to her.
Even if Alan transfers his shares to Nicholas today, there wouldn't be enough time."
"Today?" Micah chuckled coldly. "You underestimate Nicholas. He probably started the process the day Sadie was auditing the contract."
"And Alan won't resist?"
"Once all the paperwork is done, Nicholas will force him to sign today. With his life in Nicholas's hands, how could he resist?"
"Oh my God, poor Ryan and Silas, going around begging the board members not to sell their shares to Nicholas. It was all in vain."
Dahlia finally grasped the gravity of the situation. "Mr. Clemens, what should we do now? Should I inform Ms. James immediately?"
"No, let her focus on finding Noah. I'll handle the company."
"But you..."
"Enough. How's Andrew?"
"Right, Andrew woke up half an hour ago, but he's still not in great shape."
"Can he talk?"
"Yes, though it's a bit difficult, he can speak clearly."
"Good. Find a way to get me a private call with Andrew."
"Understood, I'll handle it right away."
After hanging up, Micah held his phone, deep in thought. He was setting everything in place, just one more person to go.
He hesitated for a moment, then dialed a number.
No answer.
Micah called again. This time, the call was answered, the voice on the other end tinged with confusion and impatience.
"It's me."
Hearing that voice, Olivia was stunned. She turned to look at the study door.
Just an hour ago, she had seen Alan being taken away by Nicholas's men. It couldn't be him calling her.
And it wasn't his voice—this voice was deep, carrying a unique authority.
