Chapter 1571 No Bottom Line

"That's just despicable," Annika fumed. "What do we do now?"

"I..." Sadie started to respond, but her phone buzzed with a flurry of notifications.

She opened it to find a barrage of news links from Chloe.

The headlines were everywhere: the three kids weren't Micah's biological children.

Alan had held a press conference, pretending to be Micah, and accused Sadie of all sorts of crimes, making her out to be a monster.

He confirmed the rumors that Sadie had plotted to kill her husband and take over the Clemens Group's assets.

All the media attention was on Sadie, and even the kids weren't spared!

The internet was flooded with scandalous stories about Sadie, and some people had even dug up dirt on Edmond and other relatives, slandering them maliciously.

In no time, Sadie had become synonymous with a wicked woman.

Online and across major media outlets, people were mocking her as the new generation's female demon, criticizing her for not appreciating "Micah," a high-quality woman, and instead scheming for power, calling her ambitious and heartless.

Sadie held her phone, trembling with rage.

Although she had anticipated this, seeing so many netizens insult her family and children with such venomous language made her blood boil.

"This is outrageous!" Annika was already furious just from hearing some of the comments in the news videos. "That bastard Alan deserves to be shot dead!"

"His life isn't worth much; we need to keep him around to draw out Nicholas," Sadie said through gritted teeth, a cold smile on her face. "Don't worry, he won't have a good ending!"

"I'm so mad!" Annika slammed the steering wheel in anger.

Sadie closed the web pages and exited the app, looking out the window with a sigh.

"Thank goodness Noah, Nathan, and Mia don't have to go to school right now; they won't hear about any of this."

Annika didn't dare respond.

The fact that Noah and Nathan were missing, their fate unknown, was the most pressing issue.

Just then, Annika's phone rang. She quickly answered, "Arya!"

"Are you guys heading up the mountain? Be careful on the way."

"What's going on?"

"Some jerk leaked the address of Hillside Villa, attracting a bunch of reporters. I just chased away a group, but now there are more trying to sneak around the hill to take pictures. It's infuriating!"

Annika's face turned pale as she looked at Sadie in shock.

Sadie frowned and looked ahead. Sure enough, a convoy of media vehicles was heading down the mountain.

"This is outrageous. It must be Alan and his crew," Annika fumed. "They have no shame, first kidnapping children, now leading reporters to our home."

"Nicholas's tactics are truly something," Sadie said, narrowing her eyes dangerously. "Business competition is one thing, but his level of deceit and shamelessness is rare!"

"Those cars are getting closer. What should we do?" Annika asked Sadie. "Should we avoid them?"

"Speed up and drive straight through!" Sadie commanded.

"Got it!"

Annika immediately accelerated, heading straight for the oncoming media vehicles.

The mountain road had two lanes for going up and down, but it was narrow with sharp curves, making it quite dangerous.

As Annika sped towards the vehicles, the drivers on the other side panicked, slowing down and honking their horns.

But Annika showed no intention of slowing down, driving straight into them.

The opposing cars slammed on their brakes, causing a chain reaction as the cars behind them collided.

Before they could react, Annika's car sped past them like a gust of wind.
