Chapter 1664 The Final Moment 2

Micah's back was red from repeatedly sitting up and falling back down. He was drenched in sweat, but he was determined and kept practicing.

"Didn't you already nail it? Why are you still at it?" Riley asked, rubbing her eyes and yawning.

"Business competition is a marathon, not a sprint. I can't just sit for a second and then flop over. Where's the dignity in that? Besides, even in a wheelchair, I need to keep my posture sharp!" Micah replied, continuing his practice.

Riley watched him, feeling a bit moved. "You know, you remind me a lot of him."

Micah was surprised. "You mean Tristan? No way. How could we be alike?"

"He had a serious leg injury before, almost couldn't stand. He practiced over and over, just like you. Even said similar things," Riley recalled, memories of Tristan's recovery coming to mind.

"Do you miss him?" Micah teased.

"You're nuts! Who misses him?" Riley's face turned red. "Keep talking nonsense, and I'll get mad."

Micah shrugged and ignored her.

Riley glared at him, then got up to make breakfast. "It's still early. You can catch some more sleep. We'll eat breakfast and then take your meds."

"It's not that early," Micah said, glancing at the owl clock on the wall. "I need a couple of hours to get ready."

"Ready for what?" Riley asked without thinking.

"I can't go to the office looking like this, can I?" Micah glanced at himself. His beard was scruffy, his hair long and messy, and he was dirty all over, looking like a homeless man.

"So what? Do you want me to buy you clothes?" Riley asked, annoyed.

"At noon, we'll head back to Half Mountain Villa together."

"Fine!"

As they were talking, Micah's phone rang. It was Dahlia. He answered immediately, "Hello?"

"Mr. Clemens, everything is arranged! Do you need me to pick you up?"

"No, we'll go ourselves. Don't let anyone know."

"Including Ms. James?"

"Yes."

"Understood."

After hanging up, Micah prepared to continue practicing. Riley, puzzled, asked, "Why don't you contact your wife? Aren't you worried she'll be anxious?"

"I want to surprise her," Micah said earnestly.

"God, you're so dramatic!" Riley scoffed.

Micah ignored her, staring at the clock on the wall. It was already 9 AM. Olivia and Alan should be at the marriage registry by now.

As he expected, Sadie received a news link from Chloe while in the car.

Alan, posing as "Micah," had gone to the marriage registry with Olivia and publicly announced to the media that they were officially married.

Olivia had put on a flawless makeup look and smiled elegantly for the cameras. Alan, unusually, wore a hat but still looked handsome.

The two kissed in front of the cameras, looking very much in love.

Even though Sadie knew it was Alan, seeing this still made her uncomfortable. She closed the news link, not wanting to see more.

Chloe sent another message about the shares, mentioning that The Graham Family was pressuring Anthony to expedite the share exchange.

So, Chloe and Nicholas's shares would likely be finalized at the board meeting that afternoon.

Hearing this, Sadie frowned even more. If they didn't find a solution by 3 PM, the Clemens Group would fall into Nicholas's hands.

Lost in thought, a large truck suddenly swerved wildly in front of them.

Aurora quickly turned the steering wheel, but the truck seemed to be targeting them, heading straight for their car.

Blimey, My Kid's the Heir to the Billionaire Boss!
