Chapter 1680 Can't Go Back

"What do you mean? That jerk Tristan had someone take my kids away?"

Riley shouted, her voice rising in shock and almost drawing the attention of the bodyguards outside.

"It was probably Mr. Clemens who asked him to do it," Arya replied timidly. Riley was likely the only person in the world who dared to call Tristan a jerk.

"This is outrageous!" Riley fumed. "Where are they?"

"I don't know, ma'am," Arya answered cautiously.

"You don't know? Then who does?" Riley was getting anxious. "What about Sadie?"

"Ms. James is injured and in the hospital. She hasn't woken up yet," Arya replied.

"And Micah?" Riley asked again.

"Mr. Clemens is probably at the office," Arya said weakly. "Please don't worry, ma'am. Mary, Emma, and Donna are Mr. Clemens' children. He won't harm them. Ma'am, ma'am..."

Before Arya could finish her sentence, Riley had already climbed out the window.

Arya rushed to the window and felt something cold. She quickly pulled her hands back, realizing it was a snake, flicking its tongue and looking quite menacing.

But the snake didn't bite her. It soon fell onto Riley's shoulder and slithered into her cloak.

Riley dashed through the small forest, disappearing into the distance.

An eagle perched on a tree flapped its wings and called out a few times, causing the birds in the forest to scatter suddenly.

Arya felt uneasy, worried that Riley might go to Sadie's massage room. She picked up her phone to call Annika, but Annika's call came through first.

"What's going on? Your voice sounded strange earlier. What happened?"

"Riley was just here," Arya said hurriedly. "She found out that Emma, Mary, and Donna were taken by Mr. Clemens' people. She's really angry and might go after Ms. James."

"I don't think she'd go that far. Riley seems pretty reasonable," Annika said, though she quickly locked the doors and windows. "But it's better to be safe."

"Yes, please take good care of Ms. James."

After hanging up, Annika sent a message to Micah, informing him that Riley had been to Hillside Villa and knew that Tristan had taken Emma, Mary, and Donna. She was very upset.

Micah saw the message just as his car pulled into the VIC Group building. Chloe immediately came over with security to open the car door and get his wheelchair.

In the elevator, Chloe and several other executives briefed Micah on the company's restructuring plans.

Micah decisively outlined the restructuring plan and instructed them to refuse all media interviews until the group was fully reorganized.

Ryan, elderly and unwell, had stayed at the company to handle matters.

Seeing Ryan struggling, Micah felt guilty and immediately took over his responsibilities, managing the group's affairs.

Micah's efficiency was impressive, and the executives and board members couldn't help but praise him. Despite having the same face, the real "Mr. Clemens" was different.

His strategic prowess and ability to control everything were irreplaceable!

While Micah was busy at the office, Chloe approached him with a phone. "Mr. Clemens, Ms. Graham is calling."

"Tell her to come up," Micah said without looking up.

"Yes, sir," Chloe relayed his message.

Soon, Olivia arrived with two female bodyguards and a thick file in hand.

Chloe prepared coffee and left with the others.

Micah finally looked up at Olivia. "Sit."

"Thank you."

Olivia sat across from him, her gaze fixed on his face, unable to look away.

They had met briefly in the conference room before, but he hadn't had time for her. Now, they were meeting formally.

Although she had been facing a man with the same face for some time, seeing the real Micah now stirred her old feelings of admiration.

But things had changed, and there was no going back.

Blimey, My Kid's the Heir to the Billionaire Boss!
