Chapter 1591 Wishful Thinking
But Gabriella wouldn't spill the beans, and Sadie couldn't pry it out of her.
Gabriella was a doctor with a strong personality; once she made up her mind, no one could change it.
Still, Sadie was grateful that Gabriella was willing to help in a critical moment.
And just like that, the day slipped away.
According to the warning in that phone call, Sadie had to finalize the divorce with "Micah" by 11 a.m. tomorrow, or else they would go after Noah and Nathan.
It was already 9 p.m., and Jesse still had no leads.
Sadie was at a loss.
She hadn't eaten all day, was physically and mentally exhausted, yet couldn't sleep.
She kept staring at her phone, waiting for news from Jesse, while also trying to reach Terry to see if he had found Riley.
Time ticked by, and there was no news from either side.
Sadie was in torment, her heart filled with anxiety, but there was no breakthrough.
At 10:30 p.m., her phone finally rang, but it wasn't Jesse or Terry. It was "Micah."
Seeing the name on the screen, Sadie felt a moment of confusion. How she wished the caller was the real Micah.
She was struggling so much on her own, she was about to break.
But as soon as she answered the call, the same voice but different tone brought her back to reality.
"Sadie, let's talk."
"What do you want to talk about?"
"Sadie, I'm giving you a chance," Alan said in a generous tone. "Meet me at the Night Club in an hour. Remember, come alone."
With that, Alan hung up.
Sadie frowned, hesitating whether to go, but within seconds, she decided she had to.
Maybe Alan knew where Noah and Nathan were. No matter what, she had to force him to tell her.
With that in mind, Sadie quickly changed clothes and headed downstairs.
Annika, worried after hearing the news, insisted on going with her.
Sadie refused. "Alan said to come alone. If you come with me, he might not say anything."
"But I really don't feel safe with you going alone. What if something happens?" Annika was anxious.
"Don't worry, he won't dare do anything to me," Sadie replied, grabbing her car keys and leaving in a hurry.
Annika thought it over and decided to follow with two others, just in case.
Jessica, uneasy, asked, "Ms. James told us not to follow. Won't she be mad if she finds out?"
"We'll keep our distance. Just don't let Ms. James see us. If anything happens, we can step in to help," Annika whispered.
"You're right," Jessica nodded, speeding up.
Sadie drove quickly to the Night Club, heading straight to the private room Micah used to frequent.
Alan was indeed there.
He was lounging on the sofa, legs crossed, a cigar in one hand and a wine glass in the other, squinting through the smoke at Sadie.
His gaze was intense. "You're here!"
But Sadie felt nothing but disgust for him. She walked in and coldly demanded, "What do you want?"
"It's simple," Alan said, pointing with his cigar-holding hand to a document on the coffee table. "Sign this."
Sadie looked down. It was a divorce agreement.
It seemed they couldn't wait until tomorrow; they were eager to resolve this tonight.
"You don't have a choice," Alan said seriously. "This divorce is happening. You might as well sign it now and be done with it. Then, be my woman."
"I'll help you get your sons back and take care of you. Once I handle some things, I'll bring you and your kids to the Clemens Villa."
