Chapter 1639 Huge Fortune

"What the hell?"

Alan blurted out, stunned.

When Sadie had mentioned it earlier, he thought she was just trying to freak him out. But now, hearing Nicholas say the same thing, he realized it might actually be true.

He could hardly wrap his head around it. If he had known this, he wouldn't have rushed into the divorce.

If they hadn't divorced, wouldn't this money be considered marital property?

At least he would have gotten a cut.

But now that the divorce was finalized, and Sadie was going to take so much money and even control a large portion of the shares, wasn't he just shooting himself in the foot?

"Chill out, keep your cool," Nicholas reassured him. "Don't forget we still have an ace up our sleeve. I heard Micah's smartest son is set to be the heir. As long as we have that kid, Sadie won't dare to act recklessly!"

"Yeah, you're right."

Alan felt a bit relieved at the thought of their trump card.

Although he despised Nicholas's behavior in many ways, he had no choice but to follow his lead now. Without Nicholas, he couldn't manage such a big situation.

"Keep your cool. Send me a message when the data is out."

"Got it."

After hanging up, Alan turned around to see the accountants still working on the calculations. It had been almost three hours.

Some of the older shareholders were exhausted, resting on the nearby sofas.

Declan and the others were still watching the accounting team anxiously, waiting for the results.

Sadie seemed very calm, her eyes fixed on her phone. She was waiting for news.

If Jesse and Rylan could rescue Noah before the data was out, she would have a complete turnaround.

But if Noah wasn't rescued, she still wouldn't dare to act rashly.

Time ticked by, and her phone remained silent. Sadie was in agony.

Everyone present had their own thoughts, but the waiting was torturous for all.

Another half hour passed, and the accounting team finally stopped. They were doing the final tally.

Everyone hurried over, eager to see the results.

Sadie glanced at her phone again, still no news. She signaled to Annika.

Annika immediately went out to make a call.

"The results are in!"

The accountant handed the final calculation sheet to Ryan.

Ryan took a look and his face changed dramatically. Although he had mentally prepared himself for a large sum, he never expected it to be this much.

"How much?" Declan couldn't hold back any longer and leaned in to see.

"What's your rush?" Silas pushed him away with his cane.

"How much is it?" Alan was also anxious. "Give me the sheet."

Ryan didn't say much and handed the sheet directly to him.

Alan took it, and upon seeing the numbers, his legs went weak, and he collapsed into a chair.

"Are you kidding me? In two years, eight months, and three days, Micah's personal income, his personal income, is this much?"

In his panic, he referred to Micah by name instead of using "I."

"Mr. Clemens holds the majority of VIC Group's shares and part of the Clemens Group's shares. Adding it all up, this is indeed his personal income for the past two years, eight months, and three days, unrelated to the company's accounts."

Anthony explained seriously.

"All the calculation data and documents are in the computer, and we've verified everything with the major banks. The notaries have supervised the entire process. If there are any objections, you can check directly."

Alan was left speechless by this explanation.

"Wait a minute, Mr. Clemens, isn't this the agreement you signed? Why are you referring to Micah in the third person? Aren't you Micah?"

Declan picked up on the discrepancy and immediately questioned him.

"Shut up," Alan snapped. "Since when is it your turn to speak here?"
