Chapter 1645 Heaven Does Not Allow You to Live
"She did try to stir things up on purpose," Alan said coldly. "But you drugged me to sleep with Olivia and now you're forcing me to marry her. Isn't that true?"
"This is just a way to strengthen our partnership," Nicholas replied confidently. "In this collaboration, we're inseparable partners. Without each other, the plan can't succeed. Since our interests are aligned, we should form a closer relationship to avoid future issues."
"As for what Sadie said, you don't need to worry. The Clemens Group is deeply rooted; it's not something I can take over in a short time."
"Even if I were after money, I would need you to stay in charge to enjoy long-term benefits. Why would I kill the goose that lays the golden eggs? Killing you would cut off my own financial path. I'm not that foolish."
Nicholas's words were sincere, and he added, "Besides, isn't Olivia great? Her looks, body, skills, and talent—how is she any worse than Sadie? Sadie has three kids, while Olivia is clean and has never had a boyfriend."
"Olivia is indeed perfect."
Alan reminisced about the night he experienced Olivia's beauty, feeling a bit unsatisfied. He had been with many women, but none as pure and perfect as her.
After a pause, he thought of something. "But she seems to know my true identity and hates me deeply."
"Don't worry about that. Leave it to me," Nicholas said confidently. "In our family, I call the shots."
"Alright." Alan didn't say more. Outwardly, he seemed to agree, but he still felt uneasy. He had been feeling unwell lately and suspected he might be poisoned. He needed to find a chance to get a thorough check-up elsewhere.
After several hours of driving, they finally arrived in Biston.
It was late at night when Sadie met up with Rylan.
Jesse was in the hospital due to his injuries, and the team he led was exhausted from continuous rescue efforts. Now, Rylan had taken over, leading the search for Noah.
Once Sadie arrived and understood the situation, she immediately joined the search.
At the same time, she instructed Annika to stay in touch with Arya to keep updated on the situation at Hillside Villa.
Annika quickly reported, "Arya just sent a message. Riley came by tonight and took Dr. Henry's prescription from Andrew."
"Really? That's great," Sadie said, overjoyed. "Has she left?"
"She just left. It's already 3 AM," Annika explained in detail. "She treated Mary first, then went to Andrew.
After she left, Arya checked and found the prescription I placed on Andrew was gone."
"That's good, that's good," Sadie finally breathed a sigh of relief, looking at the distant horizon. "With the prescription, Micah can be saved."
"What does this mean? Is this the prescription Hubert left?"
In the forest, Riley examined the prescription under the oil lamp, frowning deeply.
"What's wrong?" Micah asked urgently. "Did you take the wrong one?"
"It doesn't seem wrong, but..." Riley handed the prescription to him. "It's stained with blood. It's unreadable."
"What?" Micah looked closely, feeling a chill. "It must have been stained with Andrew's blood when he was shot."
"Yeah, it was sealed in an envelope. Sadie didn't open it to check."
Riley tossed the prescription aside carelessly. "Looks like fate doesn't want you to survive. Just accept it!"
Micah was exasperated. "Riley, are you out of your mind? Don't you want your exorbitant medical fee?"
