Chapter 1561 Saving Kids
Jesse was always meticulous in his work. Even though he took some people to help search for Micah, he left a few trusted aides at the hospital to protect Mia.
Previously, someone had tried to sneak into the hospital to kidnap Mia, but they had failed.
Now, with those people guarding her, Mia was very safe.
Sadie breathed a sigh of relief and instructed Dahlia to help take care of Mia.
Dahlia responded sincerely, "Ms. James, don't worry. Mia is your and Mr. Clemens' child. I will protect her with my life!"
Sadie was deeply moved by these words.
She had been worried that Rylan and Dahlia might believe the rumors and misunderstand her. To her surprise, without any explanation from her, they had remained steadfastly by her side.
"Rylan feels the same way," Dahlia added. "And the eighteen elite bodyguards of the Clemens Family will uphold Mr. Clemens' teachings and protect you and the children with our lives!"
"Thank you."
Sadie felt a bit guilty.
When she had identified Alan as an imposter, she hadn't informed Dahlia and Rylan because she needed their genuine reactions to make the act convincing.
She hadn't even shared the subsequent plans with them, yet they continued to trust her unwaveringly.
When she left the VIC Group, Sadie had felt a bit down, thinking that her former comrades had abandoned her at a critical moment, choosing to keep their distance.
But now, Sadie realized she wasn't alone.
"Go on, I'll handle things here at the hospital."
"Okay."
After hanging up the phone, Sadie continued the search with her team.
However, with very few leads, their efforts were almost futile. She had to pin her hopes on Ryan.
Given the gravity of the situation and the involvement of some confidential matters, it wasn't appropriate to involve other tech experts from the group. Ryan had to handle it personally.
In his younger days, Ryan had been a tech expert. Most of VIC Group's tech products had his involvement in their development.
He was very familiar with tracking software, but the other party's communication devices seemed to have some protection.
Moreover, Ryan was getting on in years and couldn't handle much strain. He wasn't feeling well today but was still pushing himself to find a solution, which was already quite difficult for him.
As time ticked by, Sadie grew increasingly anxious. She had her subordinates pull the highway surveillance footage, but they only had the segment from the garden villa.
The rest of the highway surveillance footage had to be provided by the police.
They contacted the police, who required them to provide case details, file a report, and then the police would retrieve the footage to find the person.
This made things even more complicated.
Just when things seemed to be at a standstill, Ryan suddenly called, excitedly saying, "Noah sent a lead. I found them."
"That's great!"
With the lead in hand, Sadie didn't rush over with a large group. Instead, she dismissed everyone and only took Arya and Rylan with her.
"Ms. James, just the three of us? Can we rescue them?" Arya asked nervously.
"Too many people will alert them," Sadie said, frowning. "The kids are with them. If they get hurt, it'll be trouble."
"Understood." Arya nodded. "I'll risk my life to save them."
"You don't need to risk your life. Your job is to drive and get the kids out of there," Sadie instructed. "Remember, no matter what happens, the kids' safety comes first."
"Ms. James."
"That's an order," Sadie said firmly.
"Yes." Arya didn't dare say more and got into the car immediately.
"Rylan," Sadie turned to Rylan. "You're the best fighter here, so I can only take you. But this trip might be very dangerous."
"Ms. James, you don't need to worry," Rylan understood her meaning. "My life belongs to Mr. Clemens. We, the Clemens Family, are not afraid of death!"
"Thank you!" Sadie felt grateful but didn't say more. "Let's go."
"Yes."
