Chapter 1564 No Clues
"Yeah, that's right," Sadie sneered sarcastically. "The Graham Family sure knows how to play their cards right."
"Take Olivia, for example. Even when the James Family was down and out, she treated me with respect because she knew Tristan would bounce back someday."
"Now Nicholas probably gets it too, which is why he doesn't dare mess with Emma, Mary, or Donna."
"He knows Tristan and Micah don't get along and that Tristan doesn't like getting involved in other people's business. As long as no one crosses Tristan's line, he won't interfere with the Clemens Family's affairs."
"So, when Nicholas found out his men mistakenly captured Emma, Mary, and Donna, he immediately had them released and even led me there to rescue them. He just doesn't want to provoke Tristan."
"Yeah, so he probably won't harm Noah and Nathan either, right?" Annika speculated. "After all, they're Mr. James' nephews."
"For now, he likely won't hurt them since he needs them to threaten me," Sadie said, frowning. "But who knows what will happen later."
"I heard from Arya that you've already signed the papers. What more does he want?" Annika said indignantly.
"Micah and I are still legally married, even if I've signed the papers. Those assets still belong to Micah, not Nicholas or Alan. If Nicholas wants to pocket those assets, it'll take some time."
"During that time, if I try to block him, I'll become an obstacle. But with the kids in his hands, can I afford to act? Not only can't I, but I'll probably have to comply with his threats and do things against my will."
Sadie saw through Nicholas's intentions clearly.
"Looks like we underestimated him," Annika sighed. "I always thought Alan was weak, so Nicholas couldn't be much stronger. I was wrong."
"He used Alan's stupidity to lower my guard," Sadie said, rubbing her temples tiredly. "Talking about this now is pointless. We need to find Noah and Nathan quickly. The kids are in their hands, and it's too dangerous."
"Yeah," Annika said, speeding up the car.
"By the way," Sadie suddenly thought of something, "Tristan always does things flawlessly. Even if he sent people to help you find Micah today, he should have left some men at the villa to protect the kids."
"But it seems he didn't? And Emma, Mary, and Donna were captured, yet he hasn't made a move?"
"Jesse didn't have time to tell you. Mr. James took Terry and the others back to Country E early this morning," Annika said hurriedly. "Apparently, there's a situation in Country E, and Mr. James has been lying low for so long. Today, he's finally starting to fight back!"
"I see," Sadie said, suddenly understanding. "Nicholas must have known Tristan was returning to Country E today, so he chose today to make his move."
"If Mr. James were here, they wouldn't have been able to take the kids," Annika said angrily. "Nicholas is despicable, going after such young children!"
"He set up this elaborate scheme to seize the Clemens Family's assets. To him, even his own daughter can be a pawn. What do others matter?"
Sadie said, squinting as she pondered.
"His own daughter? You mean Olivia?" Annika asked, surprised. "Isn't she on Nicholas's side?"
"Probably not. She helped us today," Sadie said, frowning. "But I think she'll soon be exposed, and Nicholas won't spare her."
"Then..."
"I owe her one. I'll repay her when I get the chance. For now, we need to find Noah and Nathan as soon as possible."
"Yeah!"
Rylan sent word that he and a dozen of his men were searching around the auto repair shop for any sign of Noah and Nathan, but unfortunately, they found nothing.
