Chapter 1635 Settling Accounts

Alan froze for a moment, then let out a mocking laugh.

"Sadie, have you lost your mind? The shares and assets I transferred to you before have all been taken back. What shares do you have? Second largest shareholder? More shares than me? You're dreaming."

"We'll see if I'm dreaming once the lawyers finish the audit."

Sadie ignored him and sat directly in the president's chair.

"What are you doing?" Alan growled, clearly annoyed. "Get up."

"Mr. Davis, why are you in such a hurry?" Sadie sneered. "Afraid I'll expose your true colors?"

"You're nuts. I don't know what you're talking about." Alan had rehearsed this and showed no signs of guilt. "Get out now, or don't blame me for being rude."

"And what exactly are you gonna do to me?" Sadie shot back.

"Guards!" Alan didn't want to waste any more words and called for security to throw Sadie out.

Alan had replaced all the company's security guards with his own people. At his command, a dozen guards surrounded Sadie.

Rodolfo and his team tried to intervene, but the guards were ready to use force.

As tensions escalated and a fight seemed imminent, Anthony rushed in with a team of lawyers, supporting Ryan.

"Everyone, stop!"

Ryan slammed a cup down and roared.

The conference room fell silent.

"Since we have a team of lawyers here, why not let them clarify things?" Ryan stared deeply at Alan, questioning him. "Or are you feeling guilty?"

"Ryan, what do you mean?" Alan frowned and growled, displeased. "Are you siding with an outsider now?"

"When you kicked Sadie out of Clemens Group, I was just doing my job," Ryan said firmly.

"You demanded blood tests and DNA tests, and she fully cooperated."

"Now she wants to bring in lawyers to audit the accounts, and you're being so aggressive? Resorting to violence and trying to throw her out? Are you feeling guilty?"

"Ryan's right," Silas chimed in. "With so many people here, the accounts can't be falsified. What are you afraid of?"

"You two are senile."

Alan couldn't argue with them and was furious.

The more he acted this way, the more suspicious the board members became.

Suddenly, someone said, "Mr. Clemens really seems different, like a completely different person. Could the rumors be true?"

"What rumors?"

"Haven't you heard? The rumor says this Mr. Clemens isn't the real Mr. Clemens, but Alan who had plastic surgery to impersonate him."

"Oh my God, really?"

"It could be true. The current Mr. Clemens knows nothing and only flaunts his power."

"Yeah, I thought so too. How could his personality change so much after one incident? Turns out..."

"This personality really resembles Mr. Davis."

The board members started discussing, and the situation quickly shifted.

Everyone sided with Sadie, and Alan, who had never faced such a situation, panicked and turned to Nicholas for help.

Nicholas frowned and gave him a look. Alan immediately changed his attitude.

"I was just reminded of Sadie's deception. Besides, she's an outsider barging in and causing trouble, which made me angry."

With this, some board members began to waver.

"Since Ryan and Silas want to see Sadie's accounts, let's see them." Alan sneered. "I want to see what she can come up with."

Everyone turned their attention to Sadie.

Sadie placed a contract and a statement on the table and said loudly, "Anthony, please verify these two documents with the VIC Group's legal team."
