CHAPTER HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SEVEN
**TESSA'S POV**
Xavier’s pathetic attempt at an apology was forgotten immediately I saw a heavily pregnant Roe trudging through the door, her sister next to her.
“Roe!” I exclaimed and rushed towards her, our laughter ringing through the mansion. “You look well rested. I'm happy I didn't drag you through the madness of the past week.”
“I'm just grateful you're allowing me to come with you. We'll find a job there and prove our worth, I promise.”
“Don't be ridiculous, you're my support system, that's your job,” I chuckled at my joke and took her to a seat while Lisbeth dragged their bags to sit with us.
“Theresa!” I called as she walked past, heading to the kitchen.
“Your Majesty,” she replied, turning towards us. “What do you need?”
“Help my friends to board the ship. Get Brennan to help you so you don't have to carry the bags alone.”
“Okay, let me go get him,” she replied and left.
“You guys are on good terms now?” Roe whispered to me conspiratorially.
“No, but she works here and that's all I need to ask for her help. It was stupid of me to expect friendship or anything genuine from these people,” I mumbled, my mind reaching out to all of the terrible memories I've had with every Ky'rhan I'd connected with.
“Hopefully, we'll be able to find those humans out there and we won't all be alone,” Lisbeth said, a forlorn look on her face.
“Xavier said they're not slaves or something, he just wanted to have a better version of what we have now on earth with everyone living a good life. I find that hard to believe but I guess we'll find out when we get there,” I explained to them.
Theresa came in with Brennan and they carried their bags.
The entrance to the ship was a steel door in each house so people can board without any hassle. It was crazy alien technology that blew minds
Like some sort of portal that led to the same place, the doors automatically disappeared once it stopped sending ky’rhans in the vicinity.
In places that were too far from Xavier, as he was the one in control of the ship's entire existence, some villages shared one entrance.
I'd spent a great amount of time in the library with Anna and I was heading back there after Roe was safely boarded.
“When will you get in?” She asked, concern and worry etched on her face.
“I can't be there without his highness, so I guess we'll be the last to board.”
She nodded, and I hugged her and Lisbeth before they went off with Theresa and Brennan.
I ran back up the stairs, walking past Xavier, who left his office door open and was talking on the phone in that strange language.
I went back to join Anna as we scanned books of different types into the app they had designed.
It was going to be the largest depot of information.
As I grabbed my phone and began scanning, I just wished there was a way to put in everything at once.
Immediately, my phone blinked green, shocking me.
“Tessy?” Anna called me, confusion in her voice, “what just happened?” She was looking at the app and coming to the same realization as me.
I'd just input everything in the book into the app at once, instead of scanning the books, page after page.
“Do I.. do I have powers?” I whispered, my mind frozen in shock.
I'd been noticing some irregularities but none of them was as startling as this.
“Do it again!” She squealed, our minds buzzing with infinite possibilities.
“Okay,” I replied and grabbed another book and thought about it going all into the app at once.
It blinked green and we checked, it was all in.
She jumped up in excitement and was about shouting when I shushed her.
“He's literally next door!” I scolded her in whispers.
“I'm sorry, I didn't know you were trying to hide it from him.”
“You want me to trust him again after everything? Who knows what he might do with this information?”
Her face fell.
“You're right. You need to have your own element of surprise,” she whispered. “But this makes our work so much easier, try and see if you can fit the entire library!”

**XAVIER'S POV**
After dinner, the most awkward one ever, I watched as the mansion staff began packing up our belongings into the ship.
“Mr. Christopher, I have a proposition for you,” I began, addressing my wife's father.
He sat up on his seat, confusion springing up on everyone's face.
“I want you to become the interim leader of the government that I'll leave here and you'll get a secure line where you'll keep me updated about what is happening,” I started, ignoring his shocked expression. “You're qualified for this job because you have more knowledge about everything, more than other humans so over the course of the next four years, you'll be able to curate a stable system of government for your people without alien interference.” I handed him a file, “here's the details. Everything you don't understand in there, you simply message me. That is the only connection between Earth, the mothership and Zorvath, no one would be able to use it except you,” I instructed him.
“I.. I'm not sure I can do this,” he mumbled.
“It's a great responsibility, but you're best suited for it. You will stay here and I'll give you the location of all my safehouses so you can get away quickly in case of a revolt.”
“But what if they don't want me?”
“Dad, you're literally their only chance at surviving the aftermath of this alien invasion. Anna will help you as well so don't worry so much,” Tessy assured her old man, their hands held together on top of the table.
Seeing their bond reminded me of my own father in the hospital. The doctor had messaged me about his health and I was ready to get him to talk.
“Corbin, help the staff and everyone else get into the ship, I'll be taking the new Royal Family for an address before we join you all. We're the last 1% remaining for the ship to be full.” I instructed him and he nodded, getting up from his seat.
“Alright, everyone, please hold each other tightly,” I instructed, and waited till they did before I teleported to the capital secretariat.
Since Tessy’s return, I'd become stronger. If not for her odd request, I would have left Corbin here to control the planet after me. I won't even need him anymore in Zorvath.
As I set up the broadcast system to address the world, the ship beeped, signaling its 99.9% completion.
Everyone was onboard and awaiting their leaders to take them home.
