CHAPTER EIGHTY-FIVE
*TESSA’S POV
When Roe came back, we were on her immediately, demanding for details.
“Seriously, it wasn't like we'd expected. And he didn't use anything on me, I guess cause of my pregnancy and all,”
“Oh. I guess we were scared for nothing,” I replied, still feeling weird about it.
“Yea and I totally get why you are finding it hard to hate him. He's kind which is something you definitely do not come across in these aliens.”
“If anyone of them shows you kindness, it's usually for their own benefits,” Anna adds.
“I don't know. I just think he's got,” I joked.
“You're crazy,”
“But will I be allowed to go to school tomorrow? This whole situation scares the shit out of me, I can't lie,”
“I don't know yet. We just have to sit and wait for him to come. His instructions were to stay here till he has it handled,”
“Who knows how long that's gonna take?” Roe said from the comfortable chair.
“It's his father, I guess he'll know everything about him and how to catch him?” I replied, not even sure myself. If he doesn't find him soon, will things ever get back to normal?
I mean, what could the ky’rhan even want?
We spent the day playing games, eating food that Theresa brought and generally lazying about.
I brought out my office work and the girls helped me with a little bit of planning but it was all still boring.
In the evening though, Theresa came to the room without any food.
“What's up?”
“I came to help you get ready for thanksgiving dinner. He is taking you out but the rest of us will be having a little bit of a party in the Jacuzzi room,” she informed me, making me narrow my eyes at her.
“Xavier wants to take me out on a date but he didn't think to inform me of that himself?”
“He's been really busy with the whole situation,” she answered as though I was overreacting.
I didn't really care about Xavier’s relationship etiquette, I just didn't trust this bitch and I'll need to call him before I follow her anywhere.
“Fine, come on in,” I waved her in and the conversation in the room died down immediately she came in.
I was grateful for my best friend and sister in this place or else, I would have been more hurt by Theresa's attitude.
I found my phone under the pillows and called Xavier while she brought out clothes and makeup from my closet.
“Where do you think he's taking her to?” Anna whispered to Roe who shrugged.
From the little I knew about Xavier, I was sure he'd be all secretive about it. I was going to try to get to know more about him if this date thing was true.
“Hey baby,”
Damn, his voice will always make me lose my train of thoughts.
“Hi,” I sounded like I was being constricted. I cleared my throat and tried speaking normally again. “Theresa mentioned something about a date?”
“Yes love. I don't want us focusing so much on my father and his antics so wear something sexy and I'll come pick you up. How long do you need to get ready?”
I was dancing in my head already.
“Maybe like thirty minutes? Or forty five. Make it forty five minutes,” I corrected myself after realizing I hadn't bathed yet.
“Okay baby. See you in forty-five minutes,” he replied before the phone went dead.
“You didn't ask where he was taking you to?” Anna asked, shocking me back to reality.
“There's no way he was going to say it. The man loves surprising me so I'll just let him. Besides, he said to dress sexy so I'm guessing it's gonna be something fancy,”
“Hear they Theresa? Sexy not a sleepover!” My sister reprimanded her and I shook my head at their interaction.
Theresa used to be so good at this so I didn't understand her sudden lack of focus. I decided to ask her later; she might be a conniving bitch but she was once a friend and I couldn't help the fact that I have a fuck. That's who I am inside.
While Roe and I laughed at her antics, Anna went ahead to choose outfits for me that made more sense than the lounge wears Theresa had picked out earlier.
The gown was red and so were the stilettos she paired with it.
“Don't worry, there's going to be slippers in the car,“ Theresa reassured me when I nearly panicked over the shoes. I wasn't a huge fan of heels especially for a long amount of time even though I loved the way it fit my outfits.
I rushed into the bathroom and had a deep shower, washing my hair and shaving too.
I was gonna try the sex thing again tonight and hopefully, he doesn't make me feel too good wit everything else that I forget the main thing. Winning a battle has never been weirder. I was going to get fucked into victory by a man slash alien that every part of my being wanted to claim.
When the forty-five minutes exhausted, I was still arranging my hair as Theresa had made a mistake again..I didn't react at all, I knew something was wrong and I was going to find out about it later because I needed to put my head completely in the game.
Xavier did knock this time around, thank goodness and Anna told him to give me five minutes.
Immediately Theresa left, Anna dragged me closer to the two of them as they whispered seduction tactics.
“You guys are weird,” I laughed.
“We wouldn't have had to be if you had just hurried up last night,”
“Fine, fine, tonight it is,”
“Remember to blink a lot. It makes you look –”
“Constipated. Don't mind Roe, she learnt to have sex from human servants. You're dealing with a ky’rhan,” Anna interrupted her.
“Wait, and how do you know so much about them?” I asked and she blushed hard. “Anna!”
“Relaxxx, I just started reading thus Zorvathian novel and it's got a lot of details. I'll give it to you when you get back now shoo, he's waiting for you,” she replied, literally shoo-in me out of the room.
When I got out of the elevator, short red dress and all, I felt quite nervous. All that sexual talk had made me scared of disappointing humans who didn't even know I was doing this for them.
I mean, they'd see the new school and hospitals and have hope that someone was finally speaking on their behalf but did they know I was planning to lose my virginity tonight so I could get into Xavier's heart and mind?
Anyways, I hoped to succeed so they'll at least see the effects of it. Which means that I needed a real game plan after this. It was only the beginning of so many things after all
“You look breathtaking,” he said immediately he laid eyes on me and I knew he wasn't lying but the way he said made my heart flutter.
“Thank you,”
“Ready?”
“Yep!”
He connected his cold hands to my warm ones and we left the mansion.
