CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND FOUR
“Why are we here?!” Aran exclaimed the moment we appeared on the shores of the huge sea. “Do you want to sacrifice us to your gods for more powers?”
“Girl, chill; if she needed to sacrifice anyone, there were lots of men back there that would suffice,” Lily snapped her shut, making me smile.
“I understand your lack of trust in me. I went from being this meek and weak female to someone teleporting you across space and time but we need to stay out of sight for a while. Probably the whole day or two days at most. If we fly into the sky now, we'll be shut down and I can't have your deaths on my conscience,” I replied as I walked into a small forest close to where Aisen had taken me to dinner the day before.
“Oh, sorry, that makes sense now,” she replied, feeling guilty for her reaction.
“So we'll stay here for the entire day? What if they find us?” Lily asked, worry seeping into her voice.
“Whoever is unlucky enough to find us will not live to tell the tale,” I answered her as we settled near a big oak tree. “Now, I need to know that I can trust you both. I'm not in the right frame of mind to kill anybody for betraying me,” I said to them.
I'd not removed my protective wards even though I wasn't in direct line of danger. These women were as alien as the ky'rhans and the Draks so letting my guard down even though I was helping them escape this planet was a bad idea.
“I'll never do that. You're saving me from a lot of pain Tessa,” Aran spoke up. “Last night, I tried talking to him about the stuff you said about sex. He didn't listen, instead, I had to sit in the healing water for three hours this morning. He might be gentle with you, but with the rest of us, he is a beast, and I won't betray you for taking me out of here.”
“Shit, you were the one to bear the brunt of his frustration. I'm so sorry. Once we settle, I'll get Xavier to send you back to your people with a space pod or something; I'm sure he'll agree,” I assured her, and she nodded.
I looked at Lily and knelt down, shocking me.
“Please get up, you don't need to do that!” I exclaimed, pushing her back to her feet. She was already spurting tears.
“I don't want to go back, Tessa. They're probably going to suffer the consequences of my escape from here but I don't care. I've been a sacrificial lamb for long enough, so if I can stay on your planet, I'll be the happiest woman ever. I'll earn keep and I'll never betray you, I promise.”
“I believe you, and if you want to stay, that's fine too,” I assured her. “So let's get back to sleep; once night falls, we'll head to the kitchen to get supplies for the journey ahead, and then we'll leave,” I informed the m, and they nodded.
I found a comfortable position, reinforced my protective ward, and built another one around them before I slept off again.

I heard explosions all around me when I woke up, and the smell of dogs was in the air.
“Lily! Aran! Wake up!” I woke the girls up quickly so we could figure out what was going on.
“What's happening? I thought they were going to let you go without any issues,” Lily said worriedly.
“We should have left earlier, damn,” Aran muttered, drawing closer to me.
I could feel their fear, and I knew it'd be difficult for them to trust a stranger with their life and freedom.
I peered out from the back of the big tree we were resting at. Some Draks held large torches while others held the chains to lathe dogs that were smelling everywhere with their tongues lolling out.
I moved back to think about what to do next.
It was dark enough that we could actually try running away but I'd hoped everyone would be asleep or something, not with dogs out all over the place searching for me as if they could do anything.
I still didn't feel like making this a war. I was fully rested and could go on for hours, but if there's one thing these people have, it's soldiers to sacrifice, and I didn't want to kill people's fathers and brothers because their Prince got his ego hurt.
I looked out again, and they were closer than before, the dogs tracing my footsteps or where it would have been if the waves hadn't washed them off.
Suddenly, a dog so big it would be up to my chest ran out of the hold of one of the soldiers and began running towards us.
I killed it with a twist of my hand and then teleported us out of there immediately.
We got to the kitchen, and all the women looked at us in shock, someone opened her mouth to scream, but I blocked her windpipe.
“We just need some food for the journey and no one would get hurt,” I whispered in their language.
The shock took a few seconds to wear off from their faces before all the servants began running around packing up a sack for us.
“Be fast!” Lily said in a panicked tone as we were obviously dipping hands inside a crocodile’s mouth by being here.
“Here, you have given us hope, so we hope you'll come back to rescue us someday,” the head cook said as she gave me the bag.
“I'll do my best,” I promised her, my heart constricting in pity for the women on this planet. I was in my own bubble all the while I was here and not opportune to see more of their lifestyle and practices, but the little I saw made me aware that they were not being treated well, and seeing me make demands and actually getting it opened their eyes a bit.
Now I had to put it somewhere in my head to come back here and actually liberate them.
But they had to do the groundwork first; a lot of them built their cages themselves, just like the queen.
“Alright guys, grab me tightly,” I instructed Lily and Aran while holding the big sack.
But before we disappeared, a figure appeared before us, halting my actions.
It was Aisen.
And he looked very angry.
