CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

What I’d seen hunted me as I ran into the elevator and thankfully it shut before he could get to me as he had run after me, adjusting his pants.

Xavier had been standing before the big office table, receiving a blowjob in his office.
The look on his face probably scarred me permanently as I'll never forget it and neither could I delete the hot feeling of jealousy that wrapped itself around my heart.
It didn't make any sense quite alright since I didn't want him but somehow I was gradually getting used to the idea of us being endgame no matter what happened or how we got there but this threw me off balance as I didn't understand what exactly was going on in his mind.
I'd never forget the way his mouth was opened in pleasure as the Moderate girl sucked him off, her fingers wrapping around his balls.

He was in his alien form and his tail was wrapped around the girl's neck, helping her gulp his huge appendage. I had closed the door immediately our eyes slammed against each other, shock expressed on both ends.

The audacity to be doing that in the house he said was ours and yet, he was trying to stop me from talking to Corbin.

I quickly went to Theresa's room and opened it. I wasn't in the mood today for knocking, I guess.

“Why did you lie to me? I didn't even need you to do that, yet , you did, giving me a fake sense of security!” I yelled at her. I knew I was transferring a huge load of the aggression to her but she played a part in this.

She quickly jumped up from her bed, and came to the door where I stood.

“What are you talking about? I didn't lie about anything,”she replied innocently and I could already see the waterworks her eyes were producing at the time I used with her but I didn't care. She lied to me.

“You told me Xavier wasn't sleeping with anyone anymore so why the hell is he getting sucked in his office right now? You know what? I don't even care about him but you on the other hand are taking me to Corbin's room right now or forget ever coming and inch close to me again!” I snapped.

“I'm so sorry Tessa. I was just following orders. No one is allowed to say anything about or they'll be gone, please forgive me,” she pleaded but I wasn't in the mood for it.

“Since you're so good at taking orders, I just gave you one so get on with it or that'll be the last order you take from either of us!” I yelled and she quickly sprung to action.

She wore a shirt over the bra and shorts she wore earlier and I followed her as she led me to the other side of the house I hadn't been in.

She knocked on Corbin's door and I heard his voice before signaling for her to go back.

The moment Corbin opened the door, he slammed it shut in my face but I wouldn't be deterred by that so I kept knocking.

“You have to hear me out at some point and I won't stop knocking until you do,” I yelled at the door.

After a couple more knocks, he eventually opened the door.
I walked in and I felt the aura of the room, his scent attacking me. The walls were painted white but everything else had a dark shade to it, even his sheets were black. His room was big with his bed taking up only a little space, the rest filled with things I assume he acquired from his travels, one of which included a very big guitar. I saw the portrait on the wall and if he weren't a royal, he would've been a popular, hot model but in a mature way.

“You realize my ears are quite sensitive to noise, right?” He said as I finally looked at him. I had to shake my head physically before I got lost, staring at his hot body. It was like the man didn't own a shirt that wasn't so tight-fitted

“But they weren't sensitive enough to hear me asking about you?” I turned around, facing him.

“What do you want?” He snapped.

“Fine, if you insist on being so rude, I'll just tell you what happened on my end and I'll leave, that's all I need to do,” I told him and he pointed me to a chair.

“No need, I'll be quick. The moment Xavier dropped you in your room, he came back and handed me the contract he had been waiting for me to mull over, insisting I sign it immediately. I didn't understand the sudden change of plans so I refused. But he threatened to send my father into the army since we were missing in service because, well, my brother was killed by soldiers that he sent to every house. I didn't have a choice but to sign it and I can't even imagine hating him more than I did before but knowing he lied to me and you for no good reason save for his possessive nature pisses me off,” I explained, and even though I hoped my words were enough, i was still upset for many reasons.

“Now I understand why you hate him so much. And I'm sorry for not giving you a listening ear earlier. I was too hurt about the whole situation,”

“But why did you believe him? Why would I even be having a conversation about you with Xavier?”

“The thing is, I asked him to allow me marry you after the expected two years of the SOS experiment since you insisted on not wanting to love him regardless of what he did,”

Now, that makes sense.

“I've been asking him why he's so insistent on marrying me instead of, well, anyone else really. I don't want him and I've made it clear but he insists and it makes no sense,”

“It's because of his alien side. A part of him knows you're his only chance at happiness with all of the things his father has made him do so he's being selfish,”

“I'm confused, what does that mean? His alien side has only been angry at me so how could I be his only chance at happiness?” I asked, confusion taking over my mind.

“You know what? Sit down and I'll explain better, okay?” Corbin said and I obeyed, taking the seat close to his reading table and dragging it closer to him as he began explaining things about aliens we weren't even allowed to ever know.
