CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY-THREE

“What are you insinuating baby? That we endanger our lives for this Drak? What if it's stronger than us?”

“I’m sure we can deal with this love, oya not even about this asshole at this point but the countless lives he is endangering. Also, people from other planets are aware of it; it'll be our chance to cement our position in the planet and its environs. Besides, we can take your siren friend with us so she can sing it to sleep if we become overpowered.”

“You do remember that it was ordinary Corbin that made us have to rely on Lily? The way he's describing this being, it sounds like it might defy our powers.”

“Down here, sure? But in space when our powers are combined, nothing can defeat us. I don't care about him one bit, but I want us to try so we can protect our people,” he said, but I wasn't convinced.

“Look, I get you but I need to talk to Aran and Lily first. Also, keep this idiot on a leash; he might trip on air and split his brain, considering the type of brain he has,” I grumbled as I teleported to the defense school where the girls registered this morning.

“Your Majesty, what do we owe the pleasure?” The commandant exclaimed as I walked into his office.

“Sorry to disrupt your activities but I need to speak to your latest female and alien students. It's very important,” I informed the bully, ky'rhan.

“That's alright, whatever you need, we'll be happy to provide and before I let you go, I must express my gratitude for your attention to this department and school. We've never felt seen until now even though we produce fit soldiers for the crown.”

“No need to thank me, it's your right considering the good work you do for the planet. I'll come sit with you for a more indepth conversation about what you need to keep this place running smoothly.”

“Thank you for that. Your Majesty and the girls are in the training room, so you can wait a bit for them in the waiting area; they'll be out in a few.”

I nodded, thanked him, and left.

I paced around the building; it was a literal fortress, lathe enough to cover twice the size of a bigger palace.

We'd come here to see the state of things yesterday because I really couldn't believe its state of neglect.

I didn't know I would have been back here again so soon.

I was impatient, and I wanted to get back to my baby, so I just decided to invoke my queen powers and walked towards the training room.

There were several of those here, a room where you get kicked around like a ball until you learn to kick back.

But the one I walked to was the only one where I could hear loud grunts and shouts.

It wasn't allowed for outsiders to interrupt a training session but this was urgent.

I opened the door, and to my shock, Minister Kayan was sparring with a disheveled-looking Aran.

“Minister? We missed you earlier today,” I said as I approached them.

He paused his knuckles, which were about to be driven into Aran's nose.

“I apologize, your Majesty, I had a situation I needed to handle, and I assumed you were here at home as well.”

“Well I did go home only to meet some crap on the way, hence my being here. I need their help.”

“What could you possibly need them for?”

I had asked them to keep their powers under wraps as much as possible. The aliens were already spooky about them and I wanted them to acclimate slowly.

“It's personal, I'll return them to you soon,” I said and waved the girls over.

Lily, who was sitting on the bench, hurdled over to me, but Aran was still strong.

As we left the room, I realized how weird it was for the minister to be training them directly.

I saw the Commandant again as we walked out and I waved at him

“Sorry, I couldn't wait,” I said loudly.

“It's okay your Majesty. When will they be back?”

“I'll have them back by tomorrow.”

He bowed ceremonially, and I took that as my cue to leave here.

I held the girls and teleported out of there to the palace.

“Before we go in there,” I began, scared of how they might react, “I have to tell you something.”

“Oh, okay?” Aran replied, confused.

I would be, too, considering I'd also just pulled them out of class.

So, I went into detail about the entire evening.

But before I could finish up, Aran stormed into the house and a tussle ensured between them.

She was silent, only throwing jabs and blows at him while he tried to cover his face.

After a few minutes, she left him but still gave him one roundhouse kick.

“While I understand what's going on, we might have to move to the next agenda,” Xavier interrupted her stare session with Aisen.

“She's been through a lot at his hands, babe; now that she has power over him, it's not bad if she wants to let him feel her anger. Besides, the dark force isn't attacking us, why hurry?”

“What dark force?” Lily cut in, her voice filled with fear.

“Well it's why that bastard is still breathing air in my house,” I replied and began explaining from where I'd stopped.

“So you are saying Lily should go up there and fight a monster that he brought on us?!” Aran exclaimed.

“Those were my thoughts initially but imagine the millions of people that would die if we just let it out in the open. Also, I fear it might grow too, and that still doesn't give us any sense of peace,” I explained.

“I'll go,” Lily said, her voice barely above a whisper.

I turned sharply to her.

“Are you sure? You're our contingency plan but you can completely say no.”

“I don't want to do that. The general has been hurting people and I always wished I could do something. I'm capable of that now and I'm taking the chance.”

“You're amazing Lily,” I said and hugged her tightly.

“Thank you but there's one more thing,” she said in my embrace, making me step back.

“What's that?”

“I know what the entity is from your description.”
