CHAPTER FIFTY-SEVEN
“Former elder Griffin, do yourself a favor and take back those hostile words or I'll give my wife the freedom to tear into you as much as she wants. These new powers need testing after all,” Xavier drawled as I struggled to calm down my own nerves, my husband's hands on my body my anchor back to reality.
Gradually, the light came back on, although unsteady but the looks across the room made me feel more powerful.
They were shellshcoked
“Pfft, please,” he actually rolled his eyes, waving his hand as if he were speaking to his subordinates and not the other way around. “As if she's actually that strong. You're just fueling these rumors because you want us all to believe she's something worth respecting and then dump this crap about treating humans as equals thing on us,” the ky’rhan went on, making my struggle with control more difficult.
Every word coming out of his mouth made me feel murderous and nauseous. How could one person detest another so much without cause?
Xavier’s hold on me tightened.
“Whoever will miss this man's presence should do him a favor and take him away before one of us actually takes him up on the offer he's dangling in front of us,” I warned, hoping he'd take the mercy he was being served.
“No one would do such a thing. My family is under my control and not the other way around unlike you who's got the king under your thumb,” he yelled, his tone accusatory.
His attempt to speak again was cut short as he Xavier raised his fingers up and I remembered the day Seth did that to me.
As the ky'rhan screamed out, pain gutting him up, I remembered how that felt, each second drawing you closer to your demise.
“Baby,” I whispered to Xavier whose eyes were blazing with anger and the promise of death. If he didn't stop now, the idiot would be splattered across the dinning hall floor. “I think he's learned his lesson,” I whispered to him, grabbing his arm and pulling back a little.
He released the former councilman, his cough echoing across the room.
I knew I needed to take Xavier out of here before he actually killed someone.
“Look, I don't know how you all manage to do it. Hating people who make your life easier and better but it has to end now,” I spoke to the room. “Get that woman medical attention immediately. The top tier one!” I commanded before trying the teleporting thing Xavier always did.
I figured out I'd just imagine where I wanted to be and apply the same pressure I used in gathering books into the online library I and Anna were building on.
Without any hassles, we were back in our room.
Xavier began pacing around, upset from it all.
“What will it take to actually put this behind us? Are we going to have to accept a world that will make our child feel bad himself?”
“Babe, we just have to take it one step at a time. We can't expect them all to change overnight,” I replied his venting, unsure myself about everything.
“Then I'll make it a royal decree. If they're going to complain about it, they can walk out of my ship,” he declared, anger pouring out of him.
“Orrr,” I began, walking over to stop his pacing. I cupped his cheeks. “We can deploy a series of bonding activities that'll force them all to work together. Like a football tournament with both species in each team,” I suggested right off the bat.
He pondered on it, his eyebrows furrowed together.
“That's if they don't kill themselves,” he grumbled in frustration.
“We'll put strict rules in place and place a high price at the end of it all.”
“That actually makes sense. I just have this fear that the humans would suffer more since their physical strength is limited.”
“One thing you ky’rhans fail to understand is the power of the human mind. It can make you do anything,” I said, remembering that little boy that came second in the swimming competition.
If given the opportunity, the humans could grow in strength and keep the ky’rhans on their toes.
“That's actually a brilliant idea, Mia Cara. I'll speak to Lyra-en and she'll meet up with you later so you both can iron out the details with Zyx.”
“Perfect. Now, stop frowning. You're getting ugly,” I joked, eliciting a smile from his face. “There, better.”
He laughed and scooped me up from the ground and straight for the bed.
“You ready for round two?” he chuckled, a sinister look behind his eyes.

I was with Lisbeth and Roe along with my godson three weeks later while we watched people train for the upcoming tournament. Aliens and humans running around on the open field in tandem.
I'd assumed there would be more chaos than what we witnessed in the dining hall but it was quite the opposite. Apart from tiny squabbles here and there, it was quite uneventful.
Well, for us.
Lisbeth was on another journey all together.
“Lisbeth, he's already half naked, stop undressing him with your eyes,” I joked, her eyes immediately shifting from the human guy that had her attention all since we began coming to the pool area to watch humans train.
She blushed profusely, making Roe and I laugh at her expense.
“Let her, Tessy. It's not like she's gonna ever gather the courage to actually walk up to him,” Roe said, pushing me a little with her shoulders as we shared a knowing smile.
“I'll probably melt into a poodle. It's best to just watch him from a distance,” Lisbeth replied, suddenly shy instead of the vixen I knew her to be.
“Well, the competition is your best chance so take it or not. Up to you babes,” I said, reverting to watching the men train and the baby in my arms
For the competition, we'd taken volunteers from the human side and paired them up with professional ky'rhan sportsmen.
We'd enlarged it from just football to other sports.
Javelin, skating, handball, basket ball and swimming.
“If you weren't pregnant, you would have totally won that swimming competition,” Roe said with a faraway look.
“Naa, I enjoy swimming. Being in a competition will take that away from me.”
We spent the rest of the afternoon watching them before I went back to Xavier.
Since I forgave him, he'd been keeping my pussy in check and I was nearly jogging to go meet up with him, excitement coarsing through me.
I stopped teleporting as the baby entered the next stage, my fear for his health increasing.
I opened the door to our bedroom, ready to jump on him for another round of the wonders he wrought with his mouth and cock but the bed was covered in tulips.
I paused, shocked and confused.
