CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY

He did the same thing and I immediately noticed his wrong stance from the beginning.

He jumped to me, fist forward, but I sidestepped easily.

This happened a couple of times and he was beginning to pant from overexertion.

Finally done with disgracing him to his people, I gave him the punch he'd been trying to hand to me.

I had put too much energy into it and he flew off to the ground, his back on the ground.

“You could end this before it gets dirty, you know?” I said as I walked towards him, my shield back in place.

I was careful not to get hit again by that strange substance. It made sense that they would create something capable of hurting me. Our planet was filled with more poisons than actual food so I'm sure their attempts to put me down must have yielded results.

I got closer to him and bent down, giving him my hand so he could get up with my help.

He didn't like that because he kicked his legs at me, trying to tackle me to the ground.

I jumped out of the way, hissing at him.

I didn't wait for him to come to his senses anymore; this was a fight to the death, and there was no reason to prolong it.

I kicked him again and he began coughing out blood.

I dragged him out into the open so everyone could watch him surrender or die, whichever his pride allowed.

I punched his gut, his arms flailing in a bid to get a hold of himself.

I was really wondering what the fuck made him confident he could take me and win. It made no sense.

It was why I was prolonging his death because I was expecting something to happen.

But nothing was, and his moans of pain were getting on my nerves. This didn't look like the leader of a whole planet as strong as Zorvath.

He was pathetic.

If he was this weak, then his twin would definitely be a walk in the park; although this was too.

I didn't even feel the strain although I'd been working with little sleep for two days now.

I bent over and beat him up again, his blood soiling my clothes but I hated it all.

This wasn't a duel; he wasn't in my league by any means.

“I'm giving you one more chance, I really don't want to do this. I believe you've done a great job with the planet, and we could work together to make it better,” I placated, but he grunted and spat at my feet, the blood staining my sandals.

“Why do you have a death wish?” I grunted as I stepped away from him.

Then I sent lightning into his body and he began to hyperventilate.

“He's as good as dead so we'll consider the challenge ended, yes?” I said to the ky'rhans gathered around me. “I'm just going to put him in the dungeons until he's ready to be corporative. I simply believe Zorvath deserves the absolute best, and he's not it, so what do you all say?”

Gradually, they began kneeling down and bowing down their head in obeisance.

I stood up, smiling at them.

I thought I would feel some sense of accomplishment, considering I'd been chasing this my entire existence, and now that I finally got it, it didn't sound like such a great idea.

I was going to be working twice as hard as when we were on earth, and now I was going to be putting my beautiful wife through this, too.

But I had worked so hard for it and I would make the best out of it.

“I'm glad we could come to a fruitful agreement. Let's head back to the capital building and announce to everyone the change of power,” I informed the people gathered around me.

I noticed a sort of lighter air around, like a feeling of relief.

I ascribed it to Manois being a terrible leader, and they were so ready for a new one that it didn't matter that I was returning from another planet entirely.

I watched them board back the jets, their former king in chains, waiting to teleport in afterward.

I waved my fingers and the chains on the slaves fell off.

They were shocked at first before dropping the man and basically running off.

A ky'rhan ran after them but I stopped them

“Stop! Let them go, they've been serving the old king for too long. They deserve their freedom,” I said and they watched with weird eyes as the slaves ran away.

I knew then that my policies on how to treat humans were not going to be popular down here, but if it meant being a ruthless leader, I would, but no one would have to be chained to feed.

They resumed boarding the plane but paused halfway as we began hearing a loud noise from up.

I watched as drones flew up to intercept it alongside weapons.

“Stop it immediately!” I commanded to everyone staring at the incoming ship.

“But your Majesty, we don't know who it is!” The ambassador replied, panic in his tone.

“I do; that's my Luminari and the people I brought with me, so stop attacking them immediately!” I commanded and immediately, the drones began clearing up.

I knew the transition of power was going to be one hell of an experience due to how different my thoughts were but also when they realized my queen was a human.

But I was ready to make sure this worked and we integrated into the society we met here.

Gradually, the Mothership got into the atmosphere, the size covering the sun as it descended.

“Someone direct her to a tarmac big enough to hold the Mothership,” I instructed and one of the planes began flying in a direction towards the north.

“Everyone else can head to the capital. I'm going to help her land. Meanwhile, that welcoming party would be a great idea so set it up,” I instructed them before teleporting to the ship descending slowly.
