CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY-TWO
The party was in full swing and a celebration had been thrown across the entire planet.
We had a lot of dignitaries from neighboring planets at the party as well, and negotiations and renewal of alliances were going to begin the next day, but tonight was for laying back and taking a deep breath.
Xavier and I had started doing that earlier. We went horseback riding only these horses were different. Like normal horses on steroids and probably undiluted Nexarion because they were nearly flying.
It made sense then why they were being used as a means of transportation. They were very fast.
Another fascinating feature of the capital was the ocean. We were told they only had one and every water body stemmed from it. The ocean was one of the old gods and we were expected to make sacrifices to it every year.
It was crystal clear and very deep right from the shores.
Xavier had manipulated the wind so we could fly over it for a bit and no matter how far we went, we could see the floor of the water with various animals swimming in it
He teleported us back when he began feeling the strain of the amount of energy he was expanding.
We got back to a flurry of servants, all humans and new because we'd seen the rest.
Koi said he brought them in to help prepare us for the feast of the night.
The party was being held at the capital building and it was strictly by invitation.
Koi was basically controlling everything and he was such a natural at it, increasing my suspicion.
It was like we were very important visitors and he was trying to make everything smooth during our stay
But we let him, there was no need to rattle the cage just yet.
We were prepped and pruned to perfection, the difference in our culture startling as the girls got me ready.
They took dark makeup to another level, making me look like a dark, debauched siren.
But I liked it so I didn't complain.
The dress though, I had to complain.
I was given a lacy gown that flowed all the way to the ground and hugged my curves perfectly but even with underwear, I still looked naked.
I wouldn't mind any other day but this was my first introduction to the people considering this would be aired all over the planet and I wanted to wear something more… conservative;
Which was another lacy dress but thicker and my lady bits weren't out there.
But the back was open and cut low.
I secretly liked it though, especially when Xavier was mouth agape when he saw me.
And then he draped a coat over it, making me laugh.
We got to the venue and had to teleport to the main entrance because the horde of people that weren't allowed in were piled up, trying to get a hold of us.
It was a literal paparazzi situation until we got in.
The decorations were gold and pink themed, a beautiful spark in the gloomy days the planet had had.
I did need to figure out what the previous guy did so that they were so happy he was no longer king.
When we walked in, bright lights and cameras flooded our being with loud cheers pouring out.
We had started solving problems since we got here yesterday, so I guess that made us popular among the people, but then, they were too excited. I could haphazard a guess that the other ky'rhan wasn't the best.
Xavier’s hand on my waist guided is to the throne set in place for us.
It was like I was getting a new coronation since the other didn't go so well.
I saw my best friends, Lisbeth, Aran, and Lil y, seated among the cro, wd, and I waved at them. Everyone sitting there waved back with happy smiles.
So I had to do it all over the room.
It was crazy because I knew all of this love would disappear the second we decided to free slaves and make Ky'rhans work more to get our planet up in shape
As the crowning ceremony began, I began to miss my family.
I would kill to even see me right now.
But they were busy ruling Earth while I was all the way over here.
Koi was the one heralding the ceremony but when it was time for the crown, Xavier paused his actions.
“I'd prefer the elders in council to do this, the Ky'rhan way,” he said, and I understood that.
Koi was still technically a king since there was no fight with him, so his crowning without a fight just made it look like he willingly gave it to us instead of fighting for it.
It wasn't a good look for us.
But with the elders doing it, it was legitimate in every way.
“Long live King Xavier and Queen Tessa!” The elder declared and everyone cheered and went down on their knees.
Then Xavier raised his hand, and everybody stood up, clapping again.
They had done a lot of that tonight.
After that, the celebration began.
And what a show it was.
I remembered when I was planning a ky'rhan party, it was such a distant memory, reminding me how far I'd come in such small time.
It was all sorts of carnality and some of the performers were even having sex in the rings.
Men cheered and women blushed even though they were blue.
The party was wild and even the music had crazier lyrics.
The other aliens were having the time of their lives as well, making me smile all through.
Xavier and I were made to dance for the crowd and it was an awkward experience because we'd never done that before.
“We're taking dance classes after this,” I replied, laughing.
“I doubt I'd be able to focus on the instructor, but we'll try,” he replied twirling me around.
After the dance, I wanted to simply go to bed but we had to wait till all the dignitaries left.
But somehow, my eyes began roaming the crowd for Koi.
He was not in the hall.
Strange.
