CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR

I watched as the Mothership flew above us for almost ten minutes because of how big it was. It was a testament to how much we could achieve with our minds.

In due time, I knew we would be more than this and have a civilization so great that the entire Milky Way would know about us.

But first, we needed to secure our place there.

Our plan was to take out the capital and reinstate a new government headed by Tessa and I after which we'll begin to integrate the people we came with with the pure ky'rhans as well as the humans. In a century from now, a new generation of mixed ky'rhans would fill the planet and they will all be stronger and empathetic because of the human genes.

The Mothership finally flew past the planet, and I noticed something fly out of its atmosphere, a tripod-like machine, heading after it.

We were already hidden in a pocket that only opened a tiny bit so I could see what was happening while the rest of my army waited behind me.

I watched it for a bit, figuring out it was a camera device. They must have been shocked that the ship heading their way all the while went right past them.

It made sense that they were wondering why and sent a tracker after it. I thought about shooting it down but that would draw attention to our position, ruining our whole plan.

I watched as the tracker followed slowly behind the ship, making beeping sounds.

I moved back a bit and closed the pocket then I called Tessa on our walkie-talkie.

“I'm a bit busy at the moment,” she said the moment she picked up.

“I know, love, but there's a tracker behind you. I would have taken it out, but it'll show our location, so if you could get someone to shoot it, that'll be perfect,” I explained.

“I'll do that now, thank you,” she replied quickly before the line went dead.

I went back to watch, and I noticed there were three more of them, and they were trying to get closer than the first one; two were even flying faster as though they were heading towards the command room.

But then I heard the gunshots and five of them went crashing back into the planet they'd come from. Gradually, the ship began disappearing into the pocket she'd created.

I kept watching out for any upcoming cameras but I didn't see any. I was confused about that because if I were the one on the other side, I would have kept trying, giving up just after losing five gadgets seemed… easy.

I was about to move back to get my people ready when I heard a small buzzing sound, making me shut the pocket immediately.

I listened behind the curtain of darkness for the sound. It paused right where I was floating before it moved away.

I went to another position and opened a slight space to have a better view of what was happening and I realized what clever tactic they deployed.

Because of the point we were at, which was under the Mothership earlier, I was able to notice the little floating device staying too close to the ship.

I knew there was no gun positioned in that direction and before I'd be done calling Tessa, it would have gone into the pocket with them.

So I sent a strike of electricity at it, shattering it completely, and immediately, ten newer ones jumped out, heading towards my direction at a fast speed, and it looked bigger than the other ones.

I quickly closed the pocket the second I was assured Tessa had successfully taken the ship into a pocket.

I teleported back to the ship, took in a much-needed breath, and called my general together. They were just five now, but they were well-trained, and I could trust them, hopefully.

Lamin, Kaid, Zyx, Ether, and Cam gathered around me as I began going over the plans with them again.

“We don't know exactly what we're going to encounter when we get there so we are going with stealth first, attack only when attacked, understood?” I began.

“Yes, Your Majesty. We're going to see if there's any possibility of a dialogue with them but we're not keeping up hopes in that regard,” Zyx responded.

“Based on the many attempts they've made to take us out, we'd be dumb to expect anything less hostile but I just want us to keep our minds open in case there's any chance of it. But then, keep your suit on and if your ship gets shot, you use your teleporting device. Remember, it's a one-time use,, so don't waste it. Now go and prepare your units; we'll be moving in thirty minutes,” I instructed, and they nodded and began walking out.

The ships were all close together and we had ladders linking each one to the other for easy access.

I placed a timer on my own shop and began taking my breathing exercises while the soldiers in my unit stood watching.

I'd taught them easier ones, but this was of no use to them; their system wasn't developed enough to take in the power of the universe scattered all over space. I plan to bring Tessa up to space for date nights so we can feel closer to our element once all of this is over.

My alarm blared loudly and I hit it off before pressing the switch button for my ship.

Everyone else followed suit, and I took one final deep breath before I fully opened the space pocket we'd been hiding in.

Gradually, I flew out, and they followed suit, five hundred ships with five thousand soldiers behind me. In hindsight, that didn't look like a peaceful formation, so I should have expected the response we got.

We flew into Zorvath, and I don't know what I expected to see, but it wasn't this beautiful view.

Beautiful in a way that they combined nature and machines to create a beautiful planet.

I zoned in as we flew towards the only building that was high enough to look like the capital and it was what I had on the old map I had with me.

I noticed none of their buildings were taller than two storeys but they occupied a lot of land, one building spreading across several acres of lands. It looked like they practiced communal living and were sectioned off into different sections, some more lavish than others.

We were flying towards the capital building when they began firing at us.

With just one shot from a heavy machine gun, one of our ships fell out of the sky.
