CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND THREE
He began pressing the remote continuously as though it would make any difference. The vials were broken and the only reason this crown of thorns was still in my brains was because I didn't want to start bleeding while feeling so bad.
“It's useless, Aisen; I'm no longer your prisoner,” I said to him, my voice different.
I heard the door burst open with great force, letting in his parents and a swarm of guards.
Yet I didn't feel scared, if anything, I was prepared to make them all suffer for separating me from my newborn.
“What's going on, Son?” His father demanded, still confused about what was happening. The Drak was obviously slow because of his age.
“Tessa, look, we can talk about this. You don't need to hurt anyone. I'll send you back willingly!” Aisen pleaded as he thought my long stare at his father meant that I wanted to kill him.
“I'm not feeling murderous today and I don't need your help to leave here but now that you mentioned it, that tracking device that connects you to the Mothership my family is on,” I sent his terrified father a look, “hand it over so I can get out of your dry planet without burning it to the ground,” I said calmly.
Although they hurt me by kidnapping me and bringing me here, they didn't hurt me like I'd expected. They treated me with a minuscule of respect and even assigned servants to me so I didn't have the urge to hurt anyone.
I just wanted to leave here and go back to the people I called home.
“Dad!” Aisen called his father hastily, urging him to hand over the location device.
“Son, don't be stupid; how will she even leave here? It's our only leverage, and you want to throw it away just because she learned a little bit of witchcraft?” The king thundered angrily at his son.
“You seem to have a very weak memory, Your Majesty. Do I need to remind you what I can do to anyone standing in this room?” I asked in a low voice that carried across the room regardless.
“You can't do anything – Ahh!” He screamed as I opened up his memories for everyone to see.
He collapsed on some soldiers standing behind him immediately.
“Stop her please!” The queen yelled and rushed to meet her husband.
“Aisen?” I called to the confused Drak and then pointed toward where the location device was.
By now, the sleep was already clear from my eyes. I was wide awake.
A soldier tried to break through my ward from my back. He must have thought the shimmering in that end meant it was weak.
He was electrocuted immediately. No one paid attention to him as Aisen teleported away from the room to probably go get it.
“You know I wanted to escape quietly without any drama. You'd just wake up, and you wouldn't have your bargaining chip anymore, and you could go terrorize some other planet, but no. You all wanted to mess up my life by all means,” I said to the people.
I noticed the wives all trying to peep in from outside the door, not coming in too close.
“Please stop this, he's not feeling well,” the queen cried.
“Oh, um, I've not learned how to stop that,” I replied, scratching my ear. “I'm sure once it's done playing whatever memory I invoked, he'll be fine again,” I assured her.
I got up from the bed and went to the closet.
I shut the door behind me and changed into more comfortable clothes because escaping in this sexy nightwear wouldn't be a smart idea.
When I walked out, Aisen was appearing out of thin air.
“Here,” he said, handing me the device. “How do you plan to go back?”
“Don't worry, I'm gonna find my way,” I tapped his shoulder.
I was about to teleport out of the room when the queen exclaimed in shock.
“How can you do this to me!” She screamed at her husband.
Being the nosy girl I was, I peered in deeper.
“Damn, and here I thought he was actually different from his subjects,” I said with a shake of my head.
The king has three other families he kept hidden from his wife. So although he loved her in his own way, he kept substitute families in case.
Somehow, I feel the queen had an idea about this which was why she kept pressuring for her son to have a child.
“Girls, I'm about to leave. Who wants to come with me?”
“Don't you dare!” Aisen yelled in panic and shock.
“What makes you think you have the privilege to tell me what to do? I guess because I'm not being as violent as I'm supposed to be, you're taking me for granted. If I feel like it Aisen, I'll end your entire lineage right here and now. At least the tussle to reinstate someone more powerful would give every planet under your control time to build themselves again, but I know how much you all love to treat women like crap, and you're the only thing holding them back from completely going overboard. But don't press me, or I'll say fuck it and end you where you are!”
“I'll go with you,” I heard the small tiny voice of Lily from outside the door.
I walked away from a shocked Aisen and went to meet the girls. Aran also indicated interest as well as two other wives.
“So I'll only be able to take three of you but the rest, I'm going to give you an assignment, okay?” I began, putting my hands over the heads of Cleo and Jaea.
I began to transfer information from the books in Taiwan and my sister, Anna's app into their mind.
“It's called feminism. Save this planet from these misogynistic men and you won't need anybody to rescue you,” I said to them.
“What if they resist?”
“You don't have to be the one to carry the torch to the finish line but you can light it. You can spread the news and you can let all the women know that they don't have to live in servitude. They have as much rights to this planet as every male Drak.”
“Okay,” they nodded, probably not understanding me much.
But I knew the books would translate in their own language soon enough and it'll light a fire so hot in their veins they won't stop until they get the ball rolling.
After that, I held the hands of Aran and Lily and teleported to the seaside.
